Chapter 14: Walking Around

~Lilly~

I leaned my head against Jason's. He moved, which I didn't want.

"It's almost eight-twenty. Do you wanna walk around for a little bit?" Jason asked.

"Yeah. That'll be nice. You do have your sword, right?"

He smiled. "Yeah. You do have your knife, right?"

I giggled. "Yes I do!"

I put my dagger in the sheath I had just put around my waist and stood up. Jason's fingers slipped through mine. We went outside and started walking along the sidewalk.

"Has Nico suspected anything?" Jason asked.

"Not a thing. Has Piper?"

"Nope. I told you! It's our secret, Lilly."

I smiled and watched my feet as I walked. Jason stopped.

"I have to use the bathroom. I'll be right back. Don't go anywhere." Jason said.

I giggled. "Alright."

He ran off to use the bathroom. I sat on the curb and waited for him to come back. The street lamps were lit up and I could see the outline of a person across the road. The person walked over to me and I stood up. They walked into the light of the lamp. It was a guy. He started checking me out.

"You're hot. Like really, really hot. Name's Joey. What's yours, hottie?" the guy asked me.

He started walking towards me, putting me against a building wall. He smiled. His hair was a light brown and his eyes twinkle with delight. He put his hand beside my face and started leaning towards me.

"What's your name?" Joey asked.

"Get away from me!" I shrieked.

"Fine. I'll go ahead and kiss you anyways!"

I kneed him in the crotch and he stumbled backwards. Then I went and punched him in the face, making his nose start to bleed.

"What the heck?! I'm just trying to talk to you!" Joey yelled.

"Yeah, but I don't want to talk to you! Leave me alone!" I yelled back.

I could see Jason jogging down the sidewalk towards me. He had a worried look on his face and he came up next to me, just as I punched the dude in the face again.

"Are you alright?" Jason asked.

"Fine," I replied.

"I'm not," Joey croaked.

Jason cracked a grin. "What did you do to him?"

"Well, he tried to kiss me, so I kneed him in the crotch, then I punched him in the face twice."

"Nice! Now back off, dude. She's mine!" Jason yelled.

He grabbed my hand and we sprinted down the sidewalk together. I started laughing as we slowed into a jog.

"That was fun! That idiot. Don't you know you don't kiss a girl the same day you meet?" I asked.

Jason laughed. "I know that, but apparently he doesn't! You kiss her after you get to know her."

"You didn't do that with me, now did you?"

"Shut up. Well, I at least knew your name! I did know some stuff about you."

"Yeah, yeah, I know. Now what? I think I'm good on walking around."

Jason laughed. "Yeah, I can tell. Why don't we go back to the room and go to sleep. We have a big day of traveling tomorrow."

I let go of his hand and jumped on his back. "Good idea."

"Alright. This is different. This usually doesn't happen."

"Really? I do it with Nico all the time!" I smiled. "Now I can do it with you. Now hurry up. I'm tired."

"You're not the one carrying your girlfriend, now are you?"

I giggled. "I don't have a girlfriend, thank you very much. I have a boyfriend, which I'm cheating on, and I have you. I guess I have two boyfriends."

"Yeah, and I have two girlfriends. But I'm not with Piper right now am I? Nope. I'm with you."

I laughed. "Really? I didn't notice."

"Shut up, West."

My eyebrows arched. "So I'm West now? Not Lilly?"

"Sure, why not."

"Fine then, Grace."

"Whatever."

We went into the hotel and into our room. I went in the bathroom and changed. I had on my pajama shorts and a grey t-shirt. I walked out and Jason was standing by the bed with no shirt on.
