~Lilly~

I grabbed the keys for the Mazda and looked at the long black sleeves. His black sweatshirt fit me nicely, even though it was way too big. The sleeves covered my hands completely and my shorts were just barely covered by the bottom of the material. I threw the keys at Nico, and surprisingly, he caught them.

"Let's go," I told him.

"Alright."

I ran over to him and we went out to the garage. I opened the garage door and got in the car with Nico. He looked pretty excited to be driving. And I'm shocked to see that he knows how to drive a standard. We back out of the garage and onto the road safely.

"Don't you go doing what I did, Nico di Angelo!" I scolded him.

"Lilly, I'm not gonna kill you or anything! Calm down!"

I rolled my eyes. "You might! I never know with you. Just please be careful and don't get caught. My dad would kill me if he knew-"

"Hey! It'll be fine! I'll take it easy! Don't worry, babe!"

"Alright, alright."

Silence. And it's bothering me. So I look over at Nico who now has a very concentrated look on his cute face. His hand is rested on his knee and I reached over and put my hand on top of his.

"You alright?" I asked.

"I'm fine," he replied.

I started brushing my thumb against his hand. "Then what's with the concentration on your face? What are you thinking about?"

He looked over at me, then back to the road. "Ugh. Lilly, I don't want to have to hide us from your parents. I hate having to do this. I don't understand why your parents don't like me. Sure, I'm the son of Hades and people assume I'm this terrible creep. I'm not like that, am I?"

"Aww, baby! You're not like that at all! You're probably the sweetest and cutest guy I know! Yeah, you can get jealous and maybe a little protective, but I think that's awesome. I've told you before, Nico. I don't care at all what my parents expect in a guy for me. You're absolutely perfect and exactly what I need. You're more than what I expected and I love you more than anything. My dad can hate you all he wants, but that doesn't matter! Not to me. It shouldn't to you either. I'm eighteen-"

"Yeah, so..."

"Soooo, I'm eighteen and legally, I'm an adult. They can't control me like I'm a kid anymore. They can't tell me who I can and can't go out with. I'm yours no matter what anyone says. Unless you suddenly break up -"

"No! Don't you dare say that! I will never! I'm serious, Lilly! Don't ever say that!"

I giggled. "Alright, I won't! Do you understand what I'm telling you, Nico? I'm saying that I can do what I want and what I want is to be with a guy. And that guy is the one sitting next to me who makes me happier than absolutely anyone! In this world, the Underworld, or any other world I don't know about!"

He cracked a small smile. "But I'm basically from the Underworld, considering who my dad is."

"As long as you're here and with me, I don't care where you're from or even what you look like. Sure, it's nice to have a guy with the best personality and awesome looks and I have that! Nico, you're personality is more than what I wanted and it's now something that I need. Sometimes we might need a little break from each other for a few days or so and that's always nice. But I still need you. Not to mention how cute you are. And you have awesome hair. I love your hair so much. Yeah, you're a little on the paler side, but it's cute on you. And your smile. It's this half smirk kind of deal, but has this happiness to it."
