~Lilly~
I had the same dream, I'm pretty sure one that Nico had earlier. He didn't know I was awake, but I was. Yeah, the dream where I have a baby. A little baby boy. So tiny, but perfect. Dylan Blake.
I woke up. Nico sat up so fast and was breathing heavily. I sat up too, but tried to act calm.
"Hey, hey!" I rubbed his arm gently. "Are you alright? Nico, are you okay? What's wrong?"
"Just a dream. I'm-I'm fine," he replied.
"Oh, please. You are not fine. What was the dream about?"
He took a breath. "It was about us." Nico turned to face me. "It was about you and...and your," he tucked some loose hair behind my ear,"our baby. You had a baby. A baby boy."
I covered my mouth with my hand. "I had it too. Dylan Blake."
My voice was muffled, but he understood. I can tell. I got out of bed and ran into the bathroom. But I slammed the door shut and locked it.
"Lilly!" Nico yelled.
"Go away! Just, give me a moment. Can you...go get something for breakfast? Please? I just need some time," I replied.
"Okay."
I heard him walk out and Iris-Messaged Zach. His face appeared and I saw Ash too.
"Help me. Nico and I are both having dreams about having a baby. I'm not sure I can keep it in any longer," I breathed.
"Whoa, Lill, calm down! You haven't told him yet?" Ash asked.
"No. But I've been having all the signs of pregnancy, but he hasn't noticed, and I've had to keep lying to him. I can't do it!"
"Lilly, it's a hard thing to start off at nineteen. It's gonna be alright. Just make sure it's the right time to tell him. I'll help you out every day if you want me to. You know, once you get back. Just be careful and try not to accidentally spill something about it. I know this is huge. It's amazing to me. But it's even more special to you and Nico," he explained.
"I have been trying! I've only accidentally almost said something maybe once, but that's it! I'm trying to find a good time to tell him, but I can't. I just don't know what to do about the dreams. Nico looked devastated! I hate seeing him crushed. And this is worse because I have to lie to him."
"Lillian! Calm down. Everything will be alright. Just try not to talk about the dreams much. But if it helps him calm down, then talk about it. Just don't give anything away until you're ready. I have to go now, but make sure to tell us when you get back. And if you need anything, just talk to me or anyone else. You'll be fine.
And with that, his face disappeared.
I gathered myself up and unlocked the door. Slowly, it opened. I walked out and went out to the kitchen where I saw Nico making Toaster Strudel. Of all things, that's what it was.
"You alright?" Nico asked quietly.
"Y-yeah. I'm fine," I replied.
I looked around the kitchen. It was a nice kitchen and it's how I want our kitchen back home. It has nice cabinets, a beautiful counter, a backsplash of different blues and greens, an island, and it's just beautiful.
I folded my arms and put them down on the island, resting my face on my arms. I felt Nico's body leaning over mine, because of how I was angled from bending over. His chin rested on my shoulder.
"Are you sure you're fine? You don't seem like it," he said.
"I'm alright. I'm just a bit stressed about something," I muttered, my notice muffled.
"What are you stressed about?"
"Just...something."
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"No. Not really."
"Okay. Well if you ever want to, you know where to find me."
"Obviously. We live in the same house."
He poked my sides. "Exactly."
"Stop. Just let me pull myself together."
"Okay." His chin left my shoulder. "I made you a Toaster Strudel. Would that make you feel better?"
I stood up straight and wrapped my arms around Nico's back tightly, pressing my face into upper chest and shoulder area.
"Maybe," I admitted.
He laughed. "Okay. Well if you want it, get it. And you'll have to stop hugging me."
"But I want to hug you."
"I'll take that offer."
His arms closed around me and he rubbed my back. We stood like that for a couple minutes. No talking. No nothing, other than holding each other and Nico rubbing my back. I pushed away from him some and looked up at him.
"Nico, say it were to be possible for us to have a baby. Would you want a boy or a girl?" I asked cautiously.
"I'm not sure, why?"
"I don't know. I've just been thinking about it a lot lately. If I could have a baby, would you want it be a boy or a girl?"
"Lills, it wouldn't matter to me. I just would want a baby."
I smiled a little. "Okay."
To be fair, I don't know what I want either. Honestly, I want it to be a surprise. I'm glad Nico doesn't care because he's getting a baby. This is our baby. Boy or girl, doesn't matter. But I'm still having a baby and I couldn't be happier about that.
"Lills, what are you thinking about now?" Nico asked.
"Just if we could have a baby what the name would be," I replied.
"Why are you thinking about that if you can't be pregnant?"
"Not sure. It's just one of the many things going on in my head."
He smirked. "Is one of those many things how awesome your husband is for making you breakfast?"
I giggled. "Sure. Whatever lets you sleep at night. Now give me the Toaster Strudel. I'm hungry."
He laughed and got the small plates with the pastry and put them on the island. I grabbed the milk from the refrigerator and poured a glass for myself.
"Want some?" I asked.
"Nah. I'm gonna get some water for myself," he answered.
"I'll get it. I'm already up."
"Thanks, babe."
I got his water and handed him the cup. I sat down beside him, but would hardly look at him. I took a drink of milk and put the cup down. Nico left the little packet of icing for me. I smiled and opened it. Then I just started squeezing it into a bunch of squiggly lines across my food.
"Having fun, are we?" Nico asked.
"Couldn't be having any more fun than I'm having right now," I replied.
He chuckled and kissed me on the cheek. "Alright. Now eat before it gets cold."
"If someone would shut up, I could eat!"
"Okay, okay! I'm sorry! Miss Sassy-Pants over here! Man, I thought that would change some once we got married. Gods, was I wrong..."
"Nico. Shush! Do you really want to argue with your wife?"
"Nope. Now eat."
