Chapter Seven: The Truth Revealed

March 4th 2041

Rachel Medicus, the (sort of)doctor of the Freedom Nest, had been waiting for the team to return for a couple of hours. The Freedom Nest had about 21 kids occupying it, 22 now that Marcus had arrived. Rachel was by the water barrel, cleaning her ginger hair and getting rid of the dandruff, when the door to the Freedom Nest opened. Marcus, Eivor, Samuel and Ryan all came rushing down with two wheelbarrows full of bricks. Rachel dried her hair and said "Your back, how many bricks did you get?" Marcus put his rucksack on the floor and said "Enough to fix the damage and there's enough at the construction site for future use". "That's great news" said Rachel. Eivor then got out some trowels and said to everyone "Start using these trowels to fill the cracked bricks with brick fillings and start replacing the bricks damaged beyond repair with the new bricks". The kids all nodded and got to work. Over the next 20 minutes, Marcus showed them how to fill in the cracks in the bricks and one by one, the bricks started to look as good as new. The children carefully filled the cracks with brick fillings and the cracked bricks stopped falling apart. One at a time, the badly broken bricks were removed very carefully from the walls and replaced with the new ones. The new ones were held in via the brick fillings, that acted as a glue for the bricks. After a couple of hours, the pillars were in good enough condition to be able to stand without the need of all that duck tape. The duck tape was removed and the bricks were cleaned using water from the barrels. The badly broken bricks were placed in a small storage room to be recycled once the kids found out how they could recycle them. By the end of the day, the Freedom Nest looked as good as new.

"Well done everyone" Marcus proudly said. The kids applauded themselves for the hard work they had accomplished. Now they wouldn't have to worry about relocating, there was no need now that the Freedom Nest was fixed up. Eivor then went to the table at the centre of the Freedom Nest and said "Listen up people, we found something strange at the construction site, something you wont believe". Rachel confusingly asked "What is it?" Marcus bought the file out of his bag and put it on the table. The kids gathered around as Marcus opened the file. Marcus said to the kids "There was no gas at the site, the air was breathable and the pipe that blew up was a water pipe". The kids couldn't believe what they were hearing, or seeing for that matter, as Marcus showed them a piece of the pipe he had removed using a barely working blowtorch. Eivor continued with "The gas explosion was a lie, it was a C4 and a bunch of TNT that blew up". Eivor bought out a photo from the file, that showed the nearly finished room where the explosion happened. There were stacks and stacks of TNT and a C4 explosive in the room, ready to explode! The other kids gasped in shock at this horrifying truth. Rachel's mouth dropped as she asked "So someone blew up the factory on purpose!?" Marcus said in a serious tone "Yes and it was MegaCorp". The other kids were silent for a moment, before a little girl, who ran away with her elder sister to escape their alcoholic father asked "Why would they do that?" Marcus then bought out some paperwork that showed MegaCorp's insurance claims. Marcus then explained "MegaCorp blew up the factory for some God damn insurance, blamed it on a gas leak and left the city to rot!" The other kids gasped in shock at this. The paperwork showed that MegaCorp had gotten five times the amount of money it took to purchase all those small businesses and build the factory combined. 

Marcus then told the others "Someone found out about this and left the file to be found". Eivor said sternly "MegaCorp found them and killed them, but their death was not in vain!" Samuel said courageously "We were able to find the evidence of MegaCorp's sins in our city, they destroyed our city and caused over half a million people to lose their homes". The kids started agreeing with them and cursing MegaCorp. Ryan angrily said "MegaCorp only care bout making a quick buck of o our suffering, its time to end it folks". The kids started chanting "Down with Corpos" like they were anti corporate protesters. Marcus proudly said "We know the truth of MegaCorp, for over 20 years they have exploited the American people and ruined countless lives. It is time for us to end that, we will bring more people to our cause, we will restore Boston, we will restore the American way of Democracy and burn MegaCorp to the ground!" The kids started cheering at this historic speech being made by these four courageous heroes. Marcus finished with great determination and selflessness "We are the Freedom Democracy League, we are strong, we are brave and we do not fear the Corpos. This moment is the beginning of the one thing MegaCorp fears........ The Second American Revolution!" The kids burst into applause, knowing that soon, the tyranny of MegaCorp would be at an end and that they would be the ones to end that tyranny. Eivor smiled and said "This is the start of something great, I wonder where this goes".
