June 23rd 2061

On the road from Boston to Providence was a military convoy of over 1000 soldiers. They were headed towards Providence to restore order to the city now that FacinusCo and the State Government were fighting each other for control of the once grand city. A family of seven were walking across the road when they saw the convoy. They were headed to Canada to escape the violence and try to start over. When they saw the convoy, they expected them to be military trucks, but then they saw the Freedom Banner of Democracy and realised that they were soldiers of the Freedom Democracy League. As the trucks went by them, they heard a soldier yelling inside one of them, but could not make it out. Inside of the truck was Lieutenant Carl Lau and fifteen soldiers. Carl cleared his throat and said "Soldiers, we are but a few minutes away from Providence Rhode Island, you will be sent into the city to assist the national guard with taking back control. Governor Honestus declared secession from the Union yesterday at nine AM, so if you see a national guard soldier, understand that they are on our side now". Matthew, a soldier of the A.F, put his hand up and asked "What about regular army troops?" Carl answered with "They're too busy shooting up Corpos throughout the rest of the country and a ton of them have been deployed to take back California now that Governor Huntress Mile has seceded and formed the Californian Republic. As far as we're concerned, there is no regular army". The driver then turned up the radio and said ecstatically "Hey guys, check this out!" The newscaster on the radio proceeded to say "Due to the waves of violence currently sweeping the United States, Mexican President Elena Cortez and Canadian Prime Minister Jeanene Tremblay, are opening their borders until July Fourth. Mexico and Canada will take in anyone from America, UNARMED and give them sanctuary, until order is re-established in America. Both countries will then close down their borders after July Fourth. Again, after July Fourth. Once again, after July Fourth both borders will be closing indefinitely. May God be with you all".

Matthew's eyes widened and his mouth dropped open as he said "Hard to believe that fifty years ago, people from Mexico were coming to America for a better life, but now people from America are going to Mexico for a better life". That was when they heard the driver say "Hey guys, I see Providence up ahead and your not gonna like it". Indeed they did not like it. Providence was in flames and was a complete warzone. Rhode Island State Guard troopers and Corpo grunts were fighting each other in the streets. Citizens were taking shelter wherever they could and the police had practically fallen apart. The convoy entered Providence and they could see the violence up close and personal. There were cars on fire, buildings were almost being blown to bits and the late night darkness gave it an eerie feeling of horror. Through a megaphone a State Guard Sergeant was yelling "Attention, this is the Rhode Island State Guard. This area is under Martial Law, weapons are NOT permitted. Stand down and cease violence!" over and over again. But he stopped when he heard Carl Lau's voice say through a megaphone on the truck "The liberation will not stop, this city is now occupied by the REAL patriots of Freedom and Democracy. Our duty is to protect the very concept of Democracy while keeping this great land free from fascists tyrants. We are taking back what is rightfully the people's and we will now embark on liberation of our nation, state by state. Corpo-Fascists are not welcome here, all citizens will be protected from their tyranny. We protect the people in this city and all others like it". The trucks then came to a halt and the back doors opened up to reveal soldiers that were part of the Army of Freedom. A State Guard soldier aimed his gun at them, but another soldier told him "Stand down! They're with the Freedom Democracy League". The A.F soldiers then stormed out of the trucks and started shooting the Corpo grunts dead. They had caught the Corpos by surprise and easily gunned dozens of them down. Lieutenant Lau exited the truck and headed towards a State Guard soldier who asked in a surprised tone "Who the heck are you guys!?" Carl answered with "Your reinforcements, now lets save this city!" Carl got on top of a car and said to both the League troops and the State Guard troops "Alright everyone, FacinusCo are coordinating their attack from the docks. We head over there and take it and their commanders down, they'll have no one to lead them and the Corpo forces will fall into chaos. Making it easier for us to take back Providence!"
