Right after Percy and Annabeth get out of Tartarus. The doors of death are still open. And i made this one myself.
The 7 and Nico all stood in a circle, watching each other. One of them had to close the doors of death. Nobody wanted to, but it was necessary in order to win the war. Frank, Hazel, Nico, and Annabeth all had an idea of who it might be.
Then Percy just walked up to the doors and stood in front of them. "What? Don't i get a goodbye?" Chaos erupted. Leo and Nico were both trying to switch places with Percy, saying that they wont be missed as much as him. But they all knew that Percy' s fatal flaw will not let anyone else to close the doors. Piper and Hazel were both hugging him and crying on his shoulder. Then Leo, Nico, Frank and Jason all gave him a hug and muttered encouraging words to him.
Last but not least was Annabeth. When she noticed the silence she finally recovered from the shock. Her Seaweed Brain was going to sacrifice himself. She runned to his open arms and sobbed in his shoulder. she kept saying "why?" And Percy only answered "I can't let anyone else die"
"Let me come with you!" Annabeth pleaded
" No, Annabeth. " He said with tears falling from his own eyes, "We all knew that my fatal flaw was gonna kill me someday..."
With that, Percy gave her one last kiss. He poured all of his emotions on that single kiss. Annabeth suddenly remembered all that they went through together. Recovering the bolt. Traveling the sea of monsters. When he rescued her from Atlas. Navigating the labyrinth. The Manhattan war. And many other things. That moment, Annabeth realized that Percy was never her boyfriend. Nor her best friend. No, he was her soulmate.
Percy finally broke the kiss, and said five words that made her heart melt
"I love you, Wise Girl"
"I love you too, Seaweed Brain"
Percy turned around and walked behind the doors of death. He gave each of the 7 one more smile, and said "Lets go" Jason and Frank were gonna close the doors from the mortal side, but Annabeth stopped them. "I'll do it" she said
She walked up to the doors, and with one last glance at Percy, she used all her force to close the doors. As they closed, she faintly heard "See you in a couple of years, Wise Girl. "
All of the others just watched the hero of Olympus give his life away for them. They knew that he didn't deserve this, but he was stubborn and his fatal flaw was loyalty.
When the doors finally closed, Annabeth broke down. Piper and Hazel kept asking her if she was alright, and for once, Annabeth didn't have an answer.
An oath to keep with a final breath,
Those lines kept repeating in Annabeth's mind. Percy kept his promise of keeping Annabeth safe.
But Annabeth knew that Percy will never truly leave her, for he was a part of her.
As long as we are together.Hope you guys liked it. Please don't judge, it was my first one. I also want to thank you guys for keeping up with the story and giving me support. Byee!!
