"No - no - no!' someone was shouting. 'No! Fred! No!'

And Percy was shaking his brother, and Ron was kneeling beside them, and Fred's eyes stared without seeing, the ghost of his last laugh still etched upon his face."

They weren't laughing. The sun was almost reaching the peak of day, shining the identical faces of the two prankster brothers. The book was in between their laps, a legend opened to the world.

But they weren't laughing, their mischievous smiles nowhere to be seen. Instead, they slowly inched closer to one another until their shoulders touched, and then they gripped each other's hands.

"Travis," Connor's voice broke the tense air. Travis looked at his brother, and he saw his broken reflection in the blue eyes, very much like his.

Travis didn't respond, and instead gripped Connor's hand tighter, afraid that if he pulled away, his brother was going to leave, just like the twin from the epic novel.

Connor responded by embracing his brother, trying to hide his teary eyes with his shaggy brown hair. However, his attempts were futile, and soon, small water droplets fell from his eyes and into Travis shoulder.

They did not speak, their actions saying much more than words. The brothers had always done everything together; getting in trouble, pranking campers, letting each other see their weaknesses, they always did everything together.

Without words, a promise was passed between both brothers, an unspoken bow between mutual blood.

They promised to never leave first, not without the other.

They stayed in the embrace for a long time, until Katie, a daughter of Demeter and Travis' girlfriend, came into view.

"Uh," she tentatively spoke, trying to not interrupt the brothers, "Travis, are we still on for later?"

The son's of Hermes broke the embrace, but still kept a firm grip hand on each other's shoulder. Their crooked smiles rose again, but they were somehow different this time.

Travis, spared a glance to his partner in crime,  and said, "I'm sorry, I have to spend some time with my brother."

Hey Guys!! I did this headcannon myself, with the brilliant idea from Dawn_Child_of_Helios. Once again, thanks for the amazing idea. However, I'm not a great writer, so I do not believe I did a good job at trying to portray this. I hope you like it though!

I hope you guys enjoy this. Please comment, share, and vote. Thank you so much for all the support! Bye!!!
