We will stay together, until the end

"Please don't leave me," she wailed loudly, "please don't."

Her words were carried away by the sulfur air of hell. Tears fell from her grey eyes like a broken dam. (*wink*)
She was on her knees, pleading. The boy she was talking to didn't look back, he simply kept walking away from her.

His words echoed through her ears loudly."It was all your fault, you always have to ruin everything."

Her mind was a turmoil of thoughts, her heart ached for a boy who was no longer next to her.

Her body shook with sobs, her arms around herself in a vain attempt to keep warmth. Her foot throbbed from taking off the bubble cast she made herself. Her once honey colored hair was now a knotted mess, blood and grime covering her whole body.

"Please don't leave me," she whispered rapidly, "please."

She didn't hear the black hellhound creeping behind her, nor did she feel when its razor teeth sank to her body.

"Annabeth!" His voice brought her to reality as she peeled opened her stormy eyes. Her throat felt raw from screaming and her cheeks were wet with streams of tears.

Percy stood in front of her, his raven hair messy and his sea eyes wide with worry. He went forward to hug her, but Annabeth could not forget the sharp words he spoke. She trashed wildly against his warm arms, her nails lashing his cheek. Thin red lines appeared horizontally in his cheek, small rubies scattered along the scratches.

"Get away from me!" She screeched while waving her arms and legs frantically, and this time, Percy let go of her.

Unaware to her, the whole crew of the Argo II was listening sadly to her screams, frowns etched on their faces as they could only listen to her heartbreaking cries.

Percy still stood in front of Annabeth, tears threatening to fall from his green eyes as he watched his girlfriend sadly.

"Annabeth," his voice was a mere whisper, but Annabeth could hear his voice clearly, "I'm here, I'll never leave you."

Annabeth slowly lifted her head that was in between her knees, her cheeks were red and her eyes were puffy.

"You left me, I saw you. You just left me, alone." Annabeth whispered the last part, her voice hoarse from her screams.

"I will never leave you." Percy whispered feverishly to her, "as long as we're together, remember?"

"But, you left me-"

"It was a nightmare, Wise Girl. I'll be crazy if I ever leave you."

"You promise?" Annabeth asked, her eyes were watching Percy cautiously. "You promise to never leave me?"

"I swear on the River Styx that I'll never leave you, unless you want me to." Percy whispered softly at her, his lips held a small lopsided smile, a smile that warmed her heart and left her smiling too.

Thunder rumbled outside, sealing the deadly oath. Annabeth suddenly leaped forward and embraced Percy tightly, her arms around his waist and her head on his chest.

Percy hugged Annabeth just as tightly, his calloused hands entangling on her blond hair as he swooped down to kiss her tenderly. The kiss was short and sweet, but the message was clear: We will stay together, until the end.

"I love you, Wise Girl."

"I love you too, Seaweed Brain."

It's a pity that neither will be able to enjoy the sweet moment, seeing that in this precise moment, the goddess Gaia is laughing serenely as she commanded her evil monsters to destroy their ship, giving orders to keep only two specific demigods alive.

"The wisdom's daughter and sea spawn, they're mine."
