Once, when Nico came to pick Hazel up from school, all of her friends refused to take their eyes off him. Percy, seeing that Nico was clearly uncomfortable, leaned over from the backseat and wrapped his arms around the guy. He shot an annoyed look at Hazel's friends and said, "He's mine." before Nico hit the gas pedal and their car veered out of sight. Nico thanked him, blushing slightly, and wondered if it could somehow happen without Percy faking it.
