9. surprise

SCENE 11: [LOCATION: Louis' Apartment, on the phone with Harry, 8:30 pm]

LOUIS: "My life is officially over."

HARRY: "Well, it's not over since you're talking to me."

LOUIS: "Yeah, because if I die and you're not with me, expect a phone call from my ghost."

HARRY: (touched) "Aw, you're too sweet." (pause) "What are you up to?"

LOUIS: (closes fridge) "Nothing."

HARRY: "You're obviously doing something if you're telling me you're doing nothing."

LOUIS: (walks over to couch, sits down) "Well, You don't know if I'm obviously not doing something if I am doing something if I'm not doing nothing."

HARRY: "Well... (thinks) shut up."

LOUIS: (reaches for remote) Haha, looks like I win."

HARRY: "I smell Netflix."

LOUIS: "You know me too well."

HARRY: "And let me guess. Tropical swirl sherbet at your right hand side. Spoon a quarter inch to the right and you're scrolling through CBB."

LOUIS: "More like a quarter and a half inch to the left, and I'm thinking of changing up my binge watching today."

HARRY: "Can I pick?"

LOUIS: "Only if you make it here in time."

HARRY: "Expect a knock on your door in twenty minutes."

SCENE 12: [Louis' front door, 9:05 pm]

LOUIS: (opens door, Niall bursts in with a case of beer) "What in the-"

NIALL: "Who brought the party? We bring the party!" (twirls and runs into Louis' vase)

LOUIS: (runs and catches vase before it falls) "And if my property were to break, your party and your skinny ass would be turning right around and going home."

NIALL: (wraps arm around Louis) "C'mon Louis, you've gotta let loose. It's the weekend!"

LOUIS: "How many drinks have you had?"

NIALL: Two.. (avoids Louis' knowing look) "Okay maybe three.. FOUR!"

LOUIS: (pushes Niall further into the house) "And that's more than enough for tonight."

LIAM: (ducking around Niall) "I brought Doritos."

LOUIS: "Perfect. Just set it on the coffee table."

HARRY: (walks in with ice cream) "Sorry for taking so long, Niall was quite a hassle to get in the car."

LOUIS: "How bad was he?"

HARRY: "Let's just say he's going to have to stay at my place for a while."

ZAYN: (walks in behind Harry, tossing hair to the side) "Hey."

LOUIS: "And what peace offering did you bring?"

ZAYN: "Uh, myself."
