Chapter 14: -

"We will be having a practice match today. I am soo hyped for it!", Liz said putting her fist in the air as she walked beside Hayami.

       "Against whom?", Hayami asked intrigued.

Liz looked at Hayami to see the same neutral expression she always had plastered on her face. But judging from Hayami's tone, Liz knew that she might be feeling left behind.

"Against Hatono Girls Academy.", Liz said cheerfully.

She again took a look at Hayami's face that always seemed to stay neutral. But Liz knew better than that.

"By the way,", Liz smirked as she scooted closer towards Hayami while walking.

"How's practice going with pretty boy?", she whispered.

Hayami looked at her with a face that seemed to say you are annoying.

"Well?", Liz asked again in an amusing tune.

"It's no secret you know, you don't have to whisper about it.", Hayami said gaining back her composure and picking up her walking pace a bit.

"And yes, the practice is going well. He's improving. I think."

"Oh. That's good to hear. What about today then?", Liz asked picking up her pace as well to match with Hayami.

"It's Monday. Coach gives them Monday's off. For rest."

The duo came to a halt when they reached Hayami's class.

"I will see you at lunch.", Hayami said before walking off into her classroom.

Liz waved at her and then took off towards her own classroom.

Liz hummed the tune of her favorite song while walking towards her classroom. She stopped a few feet away from her own classroom as she took in the scene in front of her.

It was a scene that she should probably get used to seeing by now, but this literally happened everyday, ever since her third-year started. No, she had seen the same thing even before that.

In front her classroom were Iwaizumi Hajime and Arai Sachie having a leisurely chat. She watched them from far away almost everyday like this. Maybe those two were...more than friends.

She wouldn't be surprised if they were. The slight blush on Arai's face was evident enough to tell her that they were close. Maybe.

Liz took a deep breath, she had been in the same class as Iwaizumi Hajime ever since her third year begin, as for Arai Sachie, Liz knew that she was in Hayami's class. Apparently, Arai was the girl Hayami had helped out the other day by lending her some money.

Hayami had shortly told Liz about the squabble she had witnessed in the classroom while they were eating in the cafeteria that day. Well, that explained why she was late. Because Hayami surely wouldn't give up on the offer of free food that easily.

Liz began walking towards her class and just as she was about to step into the classroom, she heard a gruff voice.

      "Morning Sato-san."

Iwaizumi Hajime. He had been greeting her like this ever since the day of their practice match.

"Ah- Good Morning.", Arai said as she noticed Liz with a sheepish and genuine smile on her face.

"Good Morning.", Liz politely greeted them back with a deadpanned expression on her face that seemed to have automatically fixed itself on her face for some unknown reason.
