A/N: I just want to say that I made a small blunder trusting the You-Zitsu Wiki, and by that, I mean the meaning behind Tsukishiro being codenamed Castle (城).

Google Translate from Japanese to English says 城 means Castle, which is correct, but it also says that its pronounced "Shiro", which is not. 城 is pronounced "yo" from the audio I heard off several others translators, so to whoever wrote the names for each COTE character's name etymology, the difference between you and me is that I'm an otaku that respects Japanese culture while you're not if you can't even get this right.

Therefore, the Wiki stating that the word "castle" is part of his name etymology is actually not correct. I already knew that Tsuki means "moon" and shiro means "white", and yet, I thought the wiki was somehow right and that castle would be a lot less subtle than "moon" and "white", words that every weeb knows in Japanese.

I apologize for not checking my sources (behindthename.com). After checking that website, which I know for a fact is reliable since I checked its translations with several others sites, I noticed that the wiki doesn't even have the right Kanji for his name in the second character.

Here's the actual translation:

Tsukishiro Name Etymology:
Kanji- 月白, with 月 meaning tsuki for "moon" and 月 meaning shiro for "white".
Hiragana- つきしろ meaning "shaved part of the forehead."

Flashback 7 Years Ago

Location - White Room Facility #4

If there is anything Dr. Kiryuuin and other Professors got wrong about Ayanokouji Kiyotaka, it's that his emotions have always been there, even after taking the life of another human being.

One such emotion is love.

It is said love can heal the broken, even when nothing remains, so introducing someone to love to Kiyotaka would have slowly pieced him back together.

Or at least that's what was supposed to happen.

Matsuo thought he could do it, so he gave Kiyotaka what he thought could help.

"What is this, Matsuo?" 8-year-old Kiyotaka stood in front of a small rectangular box.

As if to encourage him, Matsuo smiled. "It's a gift from me."

Kiyotaka snapped off the metal lock to unlock the door of the box, staring into the dark confines within, confused.

"Mew!" Slowly crawling out is a little kitten with white fur and blue eyes, a Siamese breed, which are known for being born deaf.
