HINDI ko hindi ko tuluyang pinansin ang mga matang ngayo'y nakatitig sa akin bagaman naiilang ay hindi ko masalubong ang mga iyon sapagkat alam kong ilang sandali lamang ay darating na ang mga bisitang kinakakabahan ko. I gazed everyone around and realized that they aren't just staring at me, but they have that idiotic smile plastered on there faces too.
"What!?" I mouthed but they just gave me a playful smirk and then Heart and Spades both chuckled, Gai and Walter shoved each other a high five, Zach and Lee whistled, Ivan is in his usual poker face, Paris is still at my back standing while Levis is still throwing us dagger stares.
"Uh seriously? What are your problems?" I asked them, hindi na makatiis sa mga malisyosong tingin na ipinupukol nila sa amin.
"Nothing," halos magkapanabay na sagot nila. I shot them a glare but still nothing good happened, they still looked at us the same.
" Whatever," umupo na lamang ako upang makalma ang sarili dahil tila tumataas ang temperatura ng dugo ko. They followed and sat at the chairs na mas nadagdagan ata at mas humaba pa ang mesa. Uh maybe they intentionally prepared this because they're anticipating visitors.
Heart and Spades sat on there usual chairs, while the Rainbow somewhat change there positions mula kahapon. Lee AKA Mr. Fruit sat after Spades followed by Gaiser the curly haired guy, then Levis AKA Datu Pula and after him was me, while at the opposite side was Hearts side. Next to her is Paris who's just silently observing, followed by Walter who smiled at me sheepishly when he saw me gazed at him throughly, then Zach and Ivanov the Indigo guy.
Many foods was prepared even candles were lighted and the utensils was all in front of us sparkling, waiting to be used. Crap, too much formalities, I hate this!
Inilibot ko ang paningin atsaka binalingan sina Heart at Spades.
"Where are they?" I asked them calmly.
"There near with Watson, can't you feel it?" Nakangising ani Heart na sinaway naman ng seryosong kapatid.
"What!? Spades we both knew that she can feel there approaching presence, so why ask?" She sarcastically said. It is not the supposed to be question but because I am shaking inside I chose the wrong words! Crap my parents can seriously give me a literal chills down the spine. I breathed heavily.
"I'm sorry, I mean why are they here?" I asked them again.
"To convince you to do your duty," ani Spades.
" Your afraid now huh!? Reminds me of that little cry baby who always cries because she's afraid of her parents scolding," sarkastikong wika ni Heart. Kumuyom ang kamao ko bago napagdesisyonang muling magsalita. Ngunit bago ko pa man magawa iyon ay napigil na ng pagbukas ng pinto ang aking mga salita and I felt that dagger stares thrown by the woman I haven’t saw for years. Tumalikod ako kay Ivan upang makaharap ang mga bagong dating. Sets of couples were there but my eyes only settled to the man with black eyes peircing through me and the woman beside him who's giving me glares.
Bumuntong-hininga ako bago nilunok ang tila bara sa aking lalamunan atsaka sinalubong ang kanilang mga tingin ng walang kakurap-kurap. Tumayo ako't ngumiti sa kanila.
"Hi Mom!" Pinilit kong siglahan ang aking boses. "Dad! Long time no see," I told them as I kiss my mother on the cheek and hugged my old man as what I always does ng mga panahong hindi pa ako umaalis.
"What did you do this time Flare," gagad na tanong ni Mom, she's waiting for me to confess and to explain. Although, I just gave them a small smile before sitting down again. Ganoon din ang ginawa ng iba, nakipagbatian bago umupong muli habang ang mga bagong dating naman ay naupo na matapos anyayahan ni Watson at ng dalawa pang Hizards.
"Calm down Curie, Let's eat," Watson commanded ngunit hindi iyon ang nakapagpatinag sa aking ina sapagkat mas lalo lamang niya akong kinitil ng tingin bago padabog na umupo sa kabilang dako ng parisukat na lamesa nakaharap sa kung saan dapat uupo si Watson.
Hindi ako halos makalunok sapagkat ang tinging ipinupukol sa akin ng aking mga magulang ay masyadong seryoso, nakamamatay. It seems like it's not just me who is suffering with it for I can feel the tensed up ambiance around me. I sighed heavily that later caused my regrets, now I caught everyone's attention.
"Is that what you learned from where you came from, Ms. Flarey Claret Kingston? Don't you know anything about table manners?" My Dad asked with a firm voice, I think I just got goosebumps. Napatungo ako ng marinig ko ang padabog na pagbagsak ng kubyertos mula sa kinaroroonan ni Mommy.
"Can't you see it Fred? Obviously she didn't!? Bata pa lamang ay puro kahihiyan na ang dala niya sa ating pangalan, so what do you expect?" Sarkastikong ani ng aking ina na mas ikinatigil at ikinangiwi ko.
Nag-angat ako ng tingin habang ang mga mata ko'y may nangingilid na luha. I don't want pity from others so I stopped my tears from falling. Inilayo ko ang pinggan sa akin bigla akong nawalan ng gana. So all this time they still see me as a failure. Isa akong kahihiyan para sa kanila matapos kong sundin ang kanilang gusto. Now, I really regret that I didn't oppose enough upang hindi na ako pinapunta dito nina Mama at Papa. Mabuti pa doon sa kanila, they appreciate what I do habang dito ay tila minamaliit nila ang kakayahan ko. Heart is right, I didn't change at all. I'm still that cry baby afraid of being scolded by her parents.
I'm hurt, that's the truth. After what I've heard tila nilakumos at tuluyan nang pinira-piraso ang puso ko. It's fine with me kung iba sana ang nagsabi, mababaliwala ko pa ang mga iyon but knowing that it came from my own parents, hearing there disappointed voices, I can't help but to be broken. My heart was wrecked and now shattered into peices.
"So after all this years, you still see me as a fiasco, I see," I uttered. " I followed everything you want but still you can't appreciate it," tatango-tangong ani ko, still with my watery eyes.
"I'll do my duty, no need to worry, hindi niyo na ako kailangan pang pilitin, gagawin ko ang lahat para matapos na ang lahat ng ito," I told them with so much confidence and determination. Hindi ko alintana ang mga pares ng matang nakatingin sa akin. I stood up firmly completely meeting my biological parent’s fiery eyes.
"Thank you for letting me see the world," I said smiling genuinely. " I miss the both of you, but it seems you two didn’t."
“ Please excuse me,” my last words before walking away leaving them all dumbfounded.
'Uh Crap! I need air!'
I breathed heavily making a lone tear escape from my eyes.
