Chapter 10: Zip it

MULING nilukob ng katahimikan ang buong silid. Lahat ay nagkakatitigan tila nag-uusap ngunit hindi naman nag-iimikan.

“Freedom after everything, that’s what we want,” Levis interrupted in the middle of our silence. He spoke as if he knows what we’re thinking or maybe all along before this conversation even started he already knew our thoughts.

“ Yeah sure! “ The Hizards declared in chorus. Sinabi nila iyon na tila napag-isipan na nila iyong mabuti. Nanlaki ang aking mga mata atsaka wala sa sariling napangiti. I can feel that a drop of tear fell from my eyes na dali-dali ko namang pinahid. My eyes looked around until it settled to the guys who are sitting beside me. Hindi man sila magtatalon o magsisigaw alam kong masaya sila sapagkat hindi maipagkakailang kitang-kita ko iyon sa bintana ng kanilang mga kaluluwa.

They may not express their selves just like how a girl does but still I knew that they’re happy. These men’s may not shout in glee, they may not express it with words or they may not cry in too much happiness but I know that there’s joy that’s now dominating their system.

Napangiti ako, I know these guys went through a lot before I even knew them and I can’t help but to admire not only their visuals but as well as their strong heart. Now we are going to a battle with an unknown cure but I know that everything will be alright. Napanatag ako sapagkat alam ko sa huli ay makakamtan namin ang kalayaang matagal-tagal ko ring inaasam.

“We will leave by tommorow,” my thoughts was interfered by the sudden words of Spades.

“W-why?” I asked right away. Nagulat man ay kailangan kong maliwanagan kaagad so that I would know how to act and to talk.

“We’ll let you all handle this,” si Heart na ang sumagot ng tanong ko na dinugtungan naman agad ni Watson. “I told you already we want all of you to be more independent than anyone else could be so we’ll leave then comeback after two months.”

“ We’ll bring everyone and we’ll go down to discover the world, then when we comeback it’s your time to go back there and face your own battles,” ipinagpatuloy nito ang pagsasalita.

“ So this two months your giving is also our training?” Bigla ay seryosong tanong ni Ivan. My mouth gaped open with his question, wait what? I came to realize what they are talking about.

“Yah think so?” Sarkastikong tanong ni Heart at napangisi ng makita ang reaksyon ko. Tumango lang si Van bilang sagot. Tiningnan ko ang mga kasama ko sa kwartong ito at tila ako lang ang apektado kung magiging Oo ang sagot ng tatlong wizards sa harapan namin.

“Bingo Von!” Nakangiting wika ni Spades at kahit hindi naman siya nakatingin sa akin ay tinapunan ko parin siya ng nakakamatay na  tingin.

“Don’t call me that,” walang emosyong ani ng huli at deretsong nakatingin kay Spades. Ivan is triggered, I can sense.

“ O-ohh,” guys around except Watson, Spades and Datu Pula reacted.

“Should I get out now?” Gai asked while poking Zachary’s hips childishly. This guy, he’s way too old to act like that and crap that is just so gross!

“F*ck it stop! You bastard,” iritadong sabi ni Zach. Although Gai just shrugged then whispered something like. “I was just asking, the last time he was called that after her, you know, he gone wild,” mahina ang pagkakasabi nito ngunit hindi iyon nakatakas sa tenga ko. Hindi ko naintindihan ang mga pinagsasabi niya but there is something that triggered my system to send chills down my spine. I was about to ask when an inner baritone voice stopped me in doing so.

‘Just shut your mouth, you’ll just worsen the situation,’ I raised a brow as if asking for an explanation but the owner of the voice didn’t give in.

‘Ask Spades to ask forgiveness,’ he ordered me at ngayon ay dalawang kilay na ang naitaas ko.

‘Tsk, tell him to ask sorry dahil iyon lang ang makakapagpakalma kay Van,’ iritadong wika niya. How dare he order me? Crap! Another thread of patience for me to handle this red haired Pendelton please.

I rolled my eyes dahil sa naisip, but fine.

“Spades ask for forgiveness,” I commanded.

“What!? No, you know me Flare, sorry is not in my vocabulary!” Aniya but I just looked at him dryly.

I stood up and then I reached the English dictionary behind me atsaka ko iyon binato sakanya.

“Search for the letter ‘s’ then there find the word sorry, read the definition so that you could add the word on your freaking vocab,” I told him seriously not minding the funny gazes around us.

“Fine, fine, i’m sorry,” he said smirking as he stared back at the emotionless Ivanov Parker who just clenched his fist.

“Sabihin mo ng bukal sa puso big bro,” tukso ni Heart na hindi ko naman pinansin. Tiningnan ako ni Spades at mataray na tinaasan ko lang siya ng isang kilay dahilan ng marahas na pagbuga niya ng hangin.

“Tch! Flare, tell me why should I f*cking do this? I’m a Hizard for f*ck's sake,” inis na wika niya habang nakatingin sa akin. I rolled my eyes at him then spoke.

“Remember what you told me when I’m just a nine year old kid? Pride is one of the seven deadly sins,” I answered him.

“Aish! Fine…Mr. Parker, I’m Sorry,” now he said it sincerely kaya napangiti ako. I then sighed readying my self to grasp the situation.

“Let me clarify things, alright so aalis kayo dito at iiwan kami? Kaming walo lang? Nawala na ba kayo sa huwisyo? For your information I am a girl for crap’s sake. Tapos iiwan niyo ko rito?” I told them at nagkanya-kanyang reaksyon naman ang mga lokong nasa tabi ko samantalang nanatiling sarkastiko ang tingin ni Heart, si Watson ay nanatili ring seryoso at si Spades naman na loko-loko ay sumipol. Datu Pula frowned, may sinusupil namang ngiti si Mr. Fruit. Zach, Paris and Walter chuckled like a retard while Gai and Ivan smirked as if what I just said is something that they thought was a joke which is actually not.

“Why Flare? Ano ba ang inaakala mong gagawin namin sayo kapag iniwan kanila rito? Gagapangin?” Natatawa niyang aniya kaya naman mabilis kong hinubad ang sapatos at malakas kong binato iyon sakanya na agad niya rin namang nasalo na naging dahilan ng mas malakas niyang pagtawa. He’s teary eyes due to excessive laughing tells me that he is distracted and I grab that opportunity to throw the other pair of my shoe and this time hindi na niya iyon nailagan o nasalag man lang.

I smirked. Bull’s-eye!

“Yeah sh*t,” dinuro ko siya ng walang emosyon ang mukha. The room is so silent and everyone is too shock. I can sense it. “You learn how to respect a woman perv, dahil sa oras na gawin mo ulit iyon ay hindi lang ‘yan ang aabutin mo, “ seryosong ani ko sa kaniya. Bumuntong-hininga ako atsaka tumayo at tumindig ng maayos mula sa pagkakaduro ko kay Gai.

“I’m sorry hindi ko sinasadyang duruin ka,” I told him at napatingin siya sa akin ng may malalaking mga mata so I just smiled at him. “I’m sorry for what I did and by the way I’m not worried if I’m left here with seven guys, it’s just that I don’t know how to cook and I’m a girl kaya nakakahiya namang hindi ako marunong magluto,” I said then pouted na ikinalalaglag ng panga nila.

“ Seriously!?” Tanong ni Levis at tango lang ang sagot ko sakanya.

“You’re cute,” Mr. Fruit pointed out as he chuckled heartily kaya naman napaayos ako ng tindig atsaka siya sinamaan ng tingin.

“Don’t worry, Clary one of your Rainbow is a cook he can teach you,” ani Heart and this time ako naman ang halos malaglag ang panga atsaka tumingin sa mga kalalakihang nasa tabi ko but instead of answers to my questioning look, instead just gave me an amuse look.

“Aalis kami rito at iiwan ka kasama sila and that’s our final decision. Now our turn to ask, who among you can do telepathy?” Walang pag-aalinlangang tanong ni Watson na ipinagtaka ko.

Hindi nila alam?
