A Misunderstanding : The Music Freaks :

An unforeseen encounter

Hailey and Zander walked down the hall of the school towards the music room. They past Drew and his gang and were shocked when Drew didn't make a rude remark. instead, he paused, and let the others walk past him. "Hailey?" Drew called. She turned around and looked at him. "What do YOU want?" Drew looked back at his group and then at Hailey. "Can i ask you something?" He replied with worry on his face. Hailey hesitated, then told Zander to go ahead to the music room. "Alright, but if your late, ill kill that idiot." Replied Zander as he walked off. "Alright, What do you need?" Asked Hailey. Drew looked nervous. Hailey knew what he wanted. "Your worried about Jake." Hailey Remarked. Drew looked startled. "uh, yeah." He replied meekly. "Dont worry, He's fine. we wont hurt him." Replied Hailey softly. Drew relaxed. "Thanks Music fr-, i mean, Hailey." He said, Thankful. Drew walked off as Hailey watched him with a smile. "He likes Jake." Said Hailey to herself. She turned and walked to the music room. When she got there, Jake was already there and talking with Milly and Sean. Zander wasnt in the room. She was confused as she looked around the room without seeing her step-brother. She shrugged and figured he was just grabbing something from his locker. "Hey everyone." Called Hailey as she walked into the room. "Oh, Hey, Hailey." Said Jake. "Hey, Where's Zander?" Asked Luke, confused. "Im actually not sure." Replied Hailey. "Im sure he will be here soon" Jake reached into his pocket and wore an annoyed face. "Hey guys, ill be right back." Jake said as he headed for the door. "Where are you going?" Asked Hailey as Jake opened the door. "I just forgot my phone. im going to grab it." And he walked out the door. Hailey sighed. "Even when he's on time, he forgets something." Milly and Sean laughed. "Atleast he shows up on time now." Seam pointed out. "Thats good i guess." Replied Hailey. "Well anyway, i finished the track for the competition. all thats left is to figure out the vocals and its done." Said Sean. Milly got excited and hooked up her speakers and her AMP and strummed her guitar a few times. "Maybe turn that down a little." Suggested Jake as he walked back into the music room. "awwwww, your no fun." Replied Milly as she turned down he speakers. "I hate to say it, but i agree with Jake." Remarked Zander as he walked into the music room. "And where have you been?" Questioned Hailey. "w-well i was just i-in the bathroom." He stuttered. Hailey wasnt convinced, but decided to drop it. "Alright, dork. Just get ready." He walked up to his keyboard. "Everyone ready?" Asked Hailey. "yup" Replied Jake as the other's nodded. "Alright, 3, 2, 1, GO!" and they broke into a musical numbered called "Take Me Away" 

Hailey and Zander were walking back home after school when they noticed Drew and Jake walking ahead of them. Drew dropped Jake off and kept walking in the same direction as them. right past his house. Hailey was confused but Zander didnt seem to care. "Where do you think Drew is going?" Hailey asked Zander. "Probably to the store, why do you care?" Replied Zander Coldly. Hailey didn't answer and just went home. When she got home, she went up to her room and sat on her bed. Drew was NICE to her today. that was a first. she thought about why he would suddenly start acting nice when she heard something. she looked out her window and saw Drew going to his house holding a bunch of brand new tools. She was confused but brushed it off until she saw him pull out a piece of paper. She quickly grabbed her binoculars that Zander gave her for her birthday, and looked at it. She couldnt see much but she could clearly see it had to do with Jake. she began to get worried. "What is he planning?" She mumbled to herself. "Hailey!" The voice startled her and she turned around. "J-Jake!" She exclaimed, shocked. "What are you doing here?" Jake sighed and said, "Music practice, remember?" She facepalmed. she had forgotten her lessons with Jake to help him with his pitch. "sorry, lets go." They walked to Hailey's studio and got to work.

"I think thats it." Said Hailey, Exhausted. Jake sat back in a chair looking smug. "Now im even more perfect than i was before." He praised. Hailey rolled her eyes. "Whatever, Jake." Jake's phone buzzed. He looked at it and an expression of confliction flashed across his face for an instant. "I have to go, Bye Hailey." Said Jake as he headed for the door. "Cya Jake." She replied, confused. He walked out the door and left Hailey alone in the room. She opened up her Laptop and started Watching video's when she remembered something. She ran back to her room and looked out her window at Jake walking down the street. He turned down the path of Drew's house and walked inside. She was annoyed with him but curious of what Drew had planned. She texted him that they needed to talk, and went back to doing her own thing, oblivious to Drew's plan. Someone else had also seen, and decided that it was connected to Drew sifting through Jakes locker. Hailey read Drews response a few hours later, and smiled. she would finally have an answer to her question.
