I wake up in the still dark and empty cave. I attempt to stretch but then I remembered I am tied to chair. I was desperate for water.

I had no idea what time it was. The only light source was the several candles that did very little.

I sat there, completely bored, until I heard shuffling coming down the hall. It wasn't a surprise when Nick walked in. He carried a tray of food. Finally.

He walked over to me and kissed my cheek. "Good morning Ziggy Berman."

He placed my food down untied my hands. I stretched my arms and hands. Jesus, it felt good to have movement.

He placed the tray in my lap. He took an apple out of his pocket and began to chop on it. I took a sip of my orange juice.

"How are you feeling?", he asks casually.

"Oh great! Be tied up to a chair, in a cave, and finding out that a boy who I thought a liked was a liar and his secretly working with devil, AND knowing that mom's life is on the line? Totally a dream come true."

He heaves a sigh. "You understand you're not leaving until we know you can be trusted right?"

I stifle a laugh "Isn't that obvious?"

He smiles. I eat my food. He bites into his apple. I catch his eye a couple times but look away. But once our eyes lock, I can't look away. Why?

He tucks a piece of hair behind my ear. "You are pretty." I smile as I allow butterflies to flutter around in my stomach.

You've got to be shitting me. I was falling for Nick who I just found out was evil again. What am I doing?

I don't know how to respond. I all k come up is a simple thanks before he leans in and captures my lips.

I don't pull away.
