Monday arrived, and Zelda walked into the office like she always did, except she couldn't ignore the looming feeling of what Link would say when he saw her.

His jacket lay folded inside her purse.

Impa was once again typing on her computer. "Hey Zelda-" but Zelda couldn't help but ignore her. The wedding planner's mind was preoccupied.

She walked into her office, the moment she stepped in, Link's familiar blonde head looked up from his desk. He got up immediately.

"Link, I-" "Zelda, let's talk somewhere else." He interrupted.

"Wait, but-" But it was no use, Link grabbed her by the hand and pulled her in the direction of the hall. Her chest flushed at his touch.

When they got there, Link looked around, as if he knew they'd get yelled at for talking there. Once he was done, he turned to face her.

"Zelda, I have a fitting with Marcus tomorrow, I'm gonna talk to him there." "Can you tell me more of what he did?" Link asked.

Zelda shook her head furiously. "Link, I don't know what on earth you're planning but I don't want you getting in trouble."  She said.

Link shook his own head. "You don't deserve whats happening to you." "As your friend, I wanna be there to help you."

Her friend...

Zelda's eyes sunk into his own, she opened her mouth to speak, but Purah opened her office door before she could say anything.

"What are you two doing?" Purah's voice rang from down the hallway. "Don't y'all have work to do?"

Zelda quickly broke her eyes away from her coworker's  and turned to address her boss.

"O-Oh, Miss Purah! I can assure you we're just talking." "We'll get back to work after we're done." Zelda told the supervisor.

Purah raised an eyebrow. "Talking about...what?" She asked skeptically.

About how my client was hitting on me yesterday when I'm literally planning his wedding.

But obviously she couldn't say that.

Zelda froze, trying to think of a response. Lucky for her though, she didn't have to, because Link spoke for her.

"About the wedding we're planning actually." He said to the supervisor. Both of Purah's eyebrows shot up this time.

"Oh, that- I should've figured." She said, chuckling lightly. "We'll, carry on then, I'll be in my office."

The second Purah shut her door, Link whipped back around.

"So?" He questioned.

Zelda took a deep breath, her hand gripping the handle of her purse tighter.

"All he did was put his arm around my waist while we were on the balcony, when no one was around." "I backed away of course, and then I ran like an absolute maniac out of there." She told him. Link nodded in understanding.

"I just...don't know what to do...how am I supposed to tell Paris this?!" She exclaimed.

Link put a hand on her shoulder, her heart leaped again.

"Don't worry about this, Zel. I'll help you figure things out." "Did he do anything else?"

Zelda shook her head lightly. "No...that was all. But it still felt awful." Tears began stinging in her eyes. She really tried to hold them in but there was no way she couldn't not cry.

"Hey, look at me." Link said softly to his colleague. Zelda instinctively looked up at him, meeting his beautiful blue gaze once again. Her chest pounded.

"Everything is gonna get sorted out. I know it will." He told her.

Zelda nodded "...You're right." She replied.

Out of nowhere, Link enveloped her in a hug, his arms wrapping tenderly around her.

She hugged him back.

Dear Hylia, I pray he doesn't feel my heart slamming into him.

"Oh!" She exclaimed after they'd broken away from each other.

"Your jacket...I was gonna give it back to you."

She took out his jacket from her purse, handing it to him. "Thanks again for letting me borrow it." She said with a smile.

Link took it back in his hands and to Zelda's surprise, sniffed it.

"Smells like flowers and.." he sniffed again. "Lemon...You washed it?"

Zelda couldn't help but laugh. "Of course I did!" "What, do you like wearing your jackets dirty or something?"

"Well, no, I wouldn't have cared either way, but it was very nice of you to do." He chuckled.

After they'd had their laugh, the two returned to their desks in the office.

The whole time Zelda sat, typing at her computers, her mind seemed to be elsewhere. She was nervous about what Link was gonna say to Marcus the following day. If anything she'd assume he planned on killing him with how unusually upset about it he seemed.

These feeling for him aren't going away anytime soon...

Howdy y'all. You guys got a mini chapter this time 😌✨

Rest assured, more will be coming soon!
