Chapter 8

After leaving Sarah house I went back home, when I entered the house my mom was there sitting on the couch with a angry look "Oh god, y/n where were you?" "Sleepover at Sarah" I said smiling, she looked at me for a moment "Good you came back, you should get ready for our dinner at the Cameron's" she said before getting up and going to the kitchen. I didn't remember her mention this, not even Sarah told me but maybe I forgot with all those drama. 

I went to the bathroom and refreshed myself before going to my room to get ready, I straighten my hair, putted on a white long dress and silver sandals

We arrived to the party, got greeted by ward and rose who talked a lot but thankfully sarah and came and we moved from them. "You look pretty today y/n" she smiled "Thank you, you too" I smiled back, she took my hand and started dancing with me. I followed her, it felt good to see her happy again and seeing how our friendship could still be the same after all. 

We were dancing and everything seemed perfect until I noticed Rafe, Kelce and Topper "she's not that bad" Kelce said, Sarah stopped dancing when she noticed that i did "Everything is ok y/n ?" she asked but i think she got what was happening when she noticed the boys too. "Kelce is definitely into you" she winked at me, that comment made me uncomfortable because she know that Topper and I are together. I smiled at her awkwardly? when I turned back I noticed that they weren't there so I looked back to Sarah "I'm going to the bathroom" I said before leaving her to search Topper. 

I was walking around when I felt a hand on my shoulder, it was Topper "Follow me" he said before going toward the house. He entered it and went into Rafe bedroom "Why here ?" I asked to him when he closed the door, he took my hand and we sat on the bed. "I told the boys about us but we should just act like usual tonight please, my parents are there and so is your mom" he said scratching the back of his neck, I didn't have time to respond that Rafe entered his room "What tf are you doing here ?" he asked to Topper, he knew not to mess with him so he stood up "We leaving, come on y/n" he looked at me, so I stood up too and followed him out but Rafe took me by my wrist and closed the door "Not you" he said, I looked at him in confusion because he never acted like this "Come on y/n sit down" he said to me, I nodded and sat next to him "Aren't you best friend with my sister ?" he asked me "Ye-" he interrupted me "Then why do you felt the need to be a bitch ?" he said while standing up to be taller than me, I looked down "Don't act so innocent this is what you are. Do you think topper is with you because he loves you ?" he laughed "No that's because you are easy, nobody is interested in you. You are so boring and he had-" I didn't let him finish, I stood up and pushed him the hardest I could. He laughed and looked at me "What was that y/n ?" I didn't respond, he raised his voice "You think you're so smart ?" "No" I said looking down "Then why don't you sit down and listen to me, is that hard" he was so loud that everything could happen at this moment, he started walking around his room. I was asking myself why didn't topper came back, was that a kind of sick joke they were playing "You know what? You're right Rafe" I said while sitting back on the bed "Am I?" he sounded surprised, I nodded "Which part was right y/n ?" he said while walking over to the bed "Everything" I said while trying to stay calm but that didn't convinced him, he laughed again "You're not smart so stop that y/n" he said raising his voice again, he approached so close to me that I feared for my life at this moment but someone entered the room "What are you doing ?" Topper said, Rafe only had the time to turn around to face Topper that he punched him. I looked at Rafe down "Are you okay y/n" Topper asked, I looked at him "This is all your fault" I said before getting up and leaving the room to join the other outside. 

When I went outside Sarah rushed to me "Finally you're here! We are going to eat y/n" she said excited, I smiled to her "I'll follow you then" I couldn't tell her what happened because I didn't want to cause drama again  so I just decided to enjoy the moment or at least try to. 

When we sat at the table, Topper leaved the house running but started walking normally when some people turned around to look at him. He excused himself and sat, I didn't see rafe with him but I decided to didn't think too much about it. 

I went back home with my mom, the dinner was fine except the fact that I couldn't stop looking at Topper. Once at home, I said goodnight to my mom and went to my room to change into comfy clothes and go to bed. I tried to sleep but I couldn't stop thinking about Topper so I took my phone and was about to send him a message when I heard a knock on my door, It scared me but I turned around and turned on my light, it was Topper. I got up to open the windows and to let him in, I didn't let him put a feet on the ground that apologized "I'm sorry for being so mean with you, thank you for defending me" "That's alright y/n, i'm sorry for acting like i'm embarrassed of you when it's not the case" I couldn't wait longer enough so I kissed him, he kissed me back causing me to step back and fall on the bed. I looked at him and laughed "Wanna stay here for the night ?" he nodded and entered the bed, I turned off the light and came closer to him. He putted his arms around me and I had my head against his chest, we fell asleep like that.
