"No- No mom, she's fine." Claudia heaved out a sigh at the frantic voice of her mother. "No, you don't need to come here, everything is fine. I'm here, I'll take care of her. I promise." Crossing one arm over her chest and turning around, Claudia got a glimpse of Jisoo and a tall silver headed woman approaching and quickly cut her mother off. "Look mom, Jisoo just came. I'll call you later, okay? Don't worry about Jennie."
After her mom hesitantly hung up the phone, Claudia turned to the petite brunette woman anxiously standing in front of her. "How's Jennie? Is everything alright with her?"
"First of all: Don't be rude. A 'hey Claudia, nice to see you again. You look incredibly gorgeous' would be appreciated. And secondly: Jennie's fine. She has a mild concussion and a broken wrist, but the doctor said that it wasn't that bad of a fracture and she wouldn't need surgery for it. A couple of scratches and a bruised hipbone, that was it." Jisoo blew out a relieved breath and Claudia shifted her attention from her to the taller woman standing next to her. Smiling, she lifted a hand and wiggled her fingers in a wave. "I'm Claudia, by the way. Jennie's sister. You must be Rosé?"
Rosé smiled. "Yeah. It's nice to meet you."
Claudia nodded and opened her mouth to say something, only to be interrupted by Jisoo. "So, can we go see her?" She raised her eyebrows when Claudia turned to glare at her. "I'm sorry, I am talking to your wife, Kim. God, when did you get so rude?"
Jisoo's eyebrows drew together in indignation. "I am not rude! You are the rude one for–"
"Jisoo!"
All three heads turned towards the voice and Claudia raised a curious eyebrow at the tall dark-haired woman that quickly approached, a look of worry on her face. Lisa. This had to be her. That evil witch. Well, at least her sister had good taste in women. "What's wrong with Jennie?"
Claudia watched as Jisoo placed a soothing hand on Lisa's arms and said, "She's okay. She has a mild concussion, a broken wrist and a bruised hipbone. Nothing too bad." Lisa let out a breath, the worry lines on her face easing a little. "What happened anyway?" When Jisoo paused and turned to look at Claudia, Lisa's eyes moved to the brunette as well, only now acknowledging her.
"She got hit by a car."
Lisa's eyes widened. "What?!"
"It wasn't that bad. That idiot behind the wheel was on the phone! Could have gone a lot worse, okay?" Lisa nodded slowly and Claudia tilted her head, squinting at her. "So you're Lisa."
Lisa frowned. "Yeah?"
"I've heard a lot about you." She said nonchalantly, watching Lisa's confusion grow, "I'm Jennie's sister, Claudia." Lisa's face got even paler than it already was, the woman probably realizing in this moment that Claudia knew all about her and Jennie's... relationship. If that's what you could call it. Claudia's face stayed blank as Lisa cleared her throat and averted her eyes.
"Well... can I see Jennie?"
Claudia cocked a challenging eyebrow. "Do you want to see Jennie?"
In the corner of her eye, Claudia saw Jisoo shift closer to Lisa, but her focus stayed solely on the frowning woman in front of her. "Um, Claudia–"
"You and Rosé can go see her if you want," Claudia interrupted her, "Second floor, room number 212. Lisa and I are going to have a little chat."
Lisa glanced at both Rosé and Jisoo and nodded discreetly. The couple hesitantly made their way inside the hospital and when the doors behind them closed, Lisa turned her attention fully on Claudia. "So then? What do you want to talk about?"
