Chapter XXIX

"Nope," I said as I turned the corner and saw some guards. For me time was still slow, but I didn't want to go through guards so that they knew where I was. I turned back around and went the other way. So far I haven't been able to find a way out. I also haven't seen Isaac, Charlie, or Ivel. Maybe they were also running away from the guards.

Ivel and Charlie ran through the barren hallways away from the dark room. They didn't wait around to find out what was going to happen. Ivel and Charlie turned corners, opened doors, and never stopped moving. Eventually they found a room full of giant tubes. Inside each tube was an alien. Each of the aliens were in some sort of sleep.

"Woah," said Charlie amazed at what he saw. He hadn't known that there were so many EXTs held captive by the IPSF.

"This place is huge," said Ivel, and it was true. The walls rose far above their heads and the width of the room was unmeasurable.

"We have to free them," said Charlie.

"How?" Asked Ivel, "we don't even know how we're going to get them out of the facility."

"Hmmmmmm," Charlie leaned on one of the tubes. The tube cracked and out came a red-green alien with a wrinkled body and wings. It opened its five eyes and stared at Charlie and Ivel before noticing that they weren't here to harm it. Then it said something in a language that Charlie and Ivel didn't understand and it flew off, breaking other tubes and freeing the other aliens.

"Looks like they got it covered," said Ivel surprisingly.

"Yep," said Charlie. They waved back at the five-eyed alien and started to run away from the large room, hopefully to find a way out of the facility.

I was still running for a long time before I found Isaac running in slow motion. I ran up to him and brought him into my time. He stopped abruptly and faced me.

"When did you get here?" He asked while panting.

"I was always here," I answered. Isaac looked at me with a blank face.

"What?" He asked clearly not understanding what I just told him.

"Never mind. We have to find Charlie and Ivel and get out of here," I said looking around. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Ivel and Charlie, both of which were standing in the hallway. Isaac and I ran up to them and I brought them to our time.

"Good. You found us," said Ivel panting.

"We saw a teleport room down that way," said Charlie.

"We also freed a crap-ton of aliens," said Ivel slowly getting his breath back.

"Alright, let's go," I said as we ran toward the direction Ivel pointed at.

What I didn't notice is that my time slowing ability was getting depleted due to the man in white.
