Power

Chapter XXX

We kept running for a while. We've been doing a lot of that. We eventually came to a door. I pressed the button to open the door and it opened normally and not all slowed down. I questioned it for a bit before going into the room.

The room had completely white walls. The ceiling was white with the words "Cross-Dimensional Rift" written in black on it. The floor was made out of glass. Through the glass was a swirling vortex. The vortex had things flying out of it, hitting the glass, but the glass didn't break.

"Well, well, well," said a voice. I turned to where the voice was coming from and saw a glass room to the left with a whole bunch of controls. The man in white was standing at the controls.

"Not you," I said disgusted.

"Yes, me," the man in white chuckled. "Do you know why you're here."

"Well, we were trying to get away from you, but-" I was cut off by the man in white.

"But I still found you. There are cameras all over the facility. It'd be weird if I didn't find you," said the man in white. Then guards came to the doors we entered through. I tried to freeze time to escape, but it didn't work.

"Oh, looks like you tried using your power. As you can see, it didn't work. I drained the effect of it," the man in white laughed hysterically. We glared at the man in white. Then I caught a glimpse of the two officers that were trailing us the whole entire time. They were pushed toward us, with their hands cuffed.

"Now, I'm going to seal this room off, while you fight to the death," the man in white said as he pressed a button, which closed the door. Then a wall opened and a bunch of guns showed. Officer Louie and Officer Drake grabbed guns off the wall, and the wall disappeared. Then they turned to face us. Their eyes were completely red. No pupils, no iris, just completely red. They started shooting. Isaac brought up a wall of water to stop the bullets.

"What are we going to do?" Asked Charlie. I looked at the ceiling, then at the floor.

"We're going to break this glass," I started going towards Louie and Drake, sliding as close to the glass as possible, so that the bullets hit the glass. Ivel burst fire at the glass trying to melt through it. Charlie shot energy to try and break the glass. Isaac set off Idontknow on a rampage, trying to also break the glass.

It didn't take long until the glass started to crack. The man in white still didn't know what we were doing. He thought we were battling. Then the glass finally broke and we started falling.

"What did you do!" Yelled the man in white. Things flew out of the vortex, bouncing off the walls. One of the things hit the glass room and the man in white was sucked into the vortex screaming. Then everything went black.
