Chapter Seven

The first thing Aaron did when he woke up was shoot towards the bathroom. You see Evie had taken a liking to Chad and whether she knew it or not yet, Doug. Aaron had to remind her who was in charge, who she belonged to. Because yes she belonged to him just like Mal belonged to Ryder, Jay belonged to Ella and Carlos belonged to Jazzy. They were the ones who were running the show; without them the VK's would have no power. They wouldn't even know about who they were. After he was showered and dressed he was out the door in three minutes, "See you later Ryder." the boy who was sitting on his bed lacing up his boot nodded knowing where Aaron was going.

He found Evie in the hall and stopped her, "Okay."

"Hi, what did you wanna talk about?" she asked. He had told her while they were making the cookies last night that he needed to talk to her.

"Gossip travels faster in Auradon than the Isle love," She bit her lip she already knew what was coming and braced herself for yelling and a possible spell in her direction, he circled her like she was his prey "Word around the place is you might have a thing with Chad." he gripped her shoulders tight and whispered in her ear.

She tried to control her shaking but she was the worst at concealing her feelings and while she could keep her body under her well trained control she wasn't perfect and Aaron could still feel it like an earthquake at his fingertips. "N-no it's not like that i swear."

"Then what is it like, love?"

She racked her brain and came up with a well organized excuse, "I was just trying to get information from him."

"Then why were you doing his homework?" he circled back around and grabbed her chin forcing her to meet his gaze, one full of lust, bloodlust barely kept at bay bubbling under the surface. She wanted anything then for that gaze to be for her, because he would follow through.

She calmed her breath so there would be no tremble in her words, "I had to get him to trust me."

Aaron shook his head, Evie couldn't tell if he was calm or not. "Do me a favor and don't." he snapped under his breath, "You are mine, I am your key to power, you can finally be a queen just like you always wanted." he almost sounded sweet. His hand moved from her chin in a hard grip to her cheek caressing it gently, a motion that Evie instinctually leaned into. "Everything I do is for you, love, please don't make me waste my time, remember what I always say."

"Time is the most precious thing in the world, it's the one thing we can never steal back."

"Good" he praised bringing her into his chest and running his hand through her hair.

She hummed and looked up at him, "Can I keep him as a toy though." She gave him baby doll eyes that he couldn't refuse.

"That can be arranged," She squealed, "But at a later date right now we must focus on getting the wand, we can't be distracted without it you are no more a Queen then Mal is right now."

Later Ella was trying to get in some target practice before they spelled Ben in case she needed to lay him out flat . She was Hitting every bullseye at least twice. As she loses another Arrow, Jay comes up, "Nice shot."

"Thanks. What's up?" Ella asked, looking relieved for once. She didn't ever really relax and she only did around Jay as she was comfortable around him. She knew their relationship was a bit toxic but it had to be. You didn't survive on the isle otherwise, and he was ungrateful. Sometimes everything she was doing was so he could be the king he was always meant to be and he just had to go and flirt with other girls before she could get him there. He can have his toys later.

Jay Shook his head, "Nothing just wanted to see you." He said in a soft voice his eyes shined and glowed in admiration for his queen.

She smiled as her eyes glowed back. It was small things like that which reminded her why she wanted Jay to begin with. Carlos was too shy and stutter-y for her taste and she had practically raised Aaron. She fell back on the grass and looked up at the clouds. Jay laid next to her. She snuggled into his side, "You know I love you right." she turned and looked up at him, "I know I don't say it a lot but I do."
