Chapter Fourteen

~ Chapter two of section two ~

Uma Smiled as Ryder let the Barrier fall, Her, Harry and Gil were among the first to ditch leaving behind their ship and snatching the Jolly Roger up from Hook. Harry expressed wanting to head to Neverland so he was planning to dock in Tirulia for a few days and go with Aaron, CJ and Harriet. Uma decided she wanted to find Ryder so off the coast of Auradon she wished her crew good luck, named Harry captain, and jumped overboard she felt had home in the water but she had somewhere else to go where she would feel even better.

She shook herself off once on shore and made a beeline for the castle, she passed shops and saw Civilians running in fear, she heard screams, she heard terror, she saw VK's Looting and causing pain in their wake. It was magnificent. She finally found her way to the castle which unguarded as no one was dumb enough to take on Ryder she saw him look out the window and she smiled, his face lighting up and eyes widening, behind him she saw Mal look over his shoulder.

She couldn't be too mad at the girl anymore, she had made good on her end, she had duped the prince and grabbed the wand which set them free. She knew Mal wasn't into Ryder either so now all the negative feelings left for Mal were from petty childhood rivalries. She wanted to move past that. They were going to be seeing each other a lot and it would be better if neither of them was at each other's throat.

She made her way through the maze of hallways almost getting lost a few times. Until she finally found Ryder and Mal, she heard them talking and decided to wait in the doorway until they were done but being visible so it didn't appear as if she was eavesdropping, "Fine, but be careful his parents Audrey and Chad are still there." he handed her a key on a chain

"Thank you, Ryder," she leaned up a bit and hugged him. She felt her Cheeks burn and cleared her throat, they both turned and saw the sea witch leaning in the doorway arms crossed. Ryder's face lit up again, attention completely on her. Yeah, Uma won't have to harbor any jealousy or bitterness towards Mal, "I'm gonna go now, thanks again." Mal nodded at Ryder before passing Uma tilting her head in acknowledgement.

The teal haired woman watched her Leave and saw Jagged scars peeking out of the back of her shredded T-shirt that were covered when she pulled on her jacket, "Uma?'' She turned Back to the young man with a crooked grin on his face who was now right in front of her.

"Those scars on her back, what are they from?"

"She's part Dragon, when she was born, she had wings, Auradon didn't like that."

Uma's eyes Widened in horror, "Whatever you do make sure that King and Queen suffer."

"You're standing up for Mal?"

She shrugged, "She did what was right in the end and I'm gonna be seeing her a lot more so I might as well get on better terms with her."

"So, no Anger or Jealousy?"

"What do I have to be Angry or Jealous about? She gets to do all the boring Queen stuff and I get to be with you. I don't have to sit in council meetings or deal with the stupid Princes and Princesses I just get to be here and decided a rule from time to time." it wasn't a bad deal really.

She ran her hand through his blue hair, The same blue as hers. "Let me go make sure that they haven't tried to break out yet, With Maleficent gone Mal might be unstable."

She nodded and let him walk forward falling in right behind him, her hand tingled and she heard a distant scream, "Ella! Uma! Mal! Someone! Help!" It echoed and slowly faded away. It sounded extremely like Ryder, just strained, scared, Tired, and worried. She looked around for a source but there was none, and Ryder hadn't seemed to have heard it.
