Chapter Forty-four

Last time on DarkHearts: "Tomorrow." Jordan said like it would be the definitive.

Evie looked at her like she was crazy, "Nope, We don't have much time to free Ella and we need to free Jazzy before her and we already lost a day because of you, we go now." Evie said in a dark and scary voice she took her jacket off the back of the chair and walked out. Jordan was wondering now if she should've taken Aaron.

It wasn't really all that hard-to-find Genie and his wife Eden; Evie was sure if they knew the address, they could have found the way. "I have never been more aggravated in my life."

Jordans Parents were in the front yard of their house, on the outskirts of Agaraba, in human form. They were less in the loop about what was happening. Eden was trying to garden, a hard task in the sand, and Genie was reading. "Makes you wish you had relied less on me." Jordan snorted upon herring their daughter the parent perked up.

"No, you do not get to crack jokes." they heard a soft yet sharp voice snap. Both got to their feet if they needed to define their daughter. "Because of you we're behind schedule we need to get through to Jazzy so we can get thought to Ella and so she doesn't cut off Audreys fingers."

Hearing his Goddaughters name made Geine spring back into his natural form and rush to Evie, "You know what happened to Jazzy."

The poor girl was being man handled by the blue genie.

"Sorry dear." Eden said now in her natural form, "We haven't heard her name in a while."

The queen raised an eyebrow, "Are you not sure what's going on in the city."

"We try not to bother with politics anymore after Al got all sad when they took Jazzy, even Aziz wasn't the same." Genie said very fast.

"She's actually in power now." Evie had to grab ahold of Their tails before they could fly off, "hold on she's not in the right headspace and may kill you before you can even talk to her."

"What do you mean?" Eden asked defensively. "Jazzy's and angel."

She shook her head, "Not anymore, Jazzy's mental state is in complete disarray. She's under and mind mangle." the two gasp, "I'm assuming you know what that is, and I don't have to go into detail.

Eden nodded, "Oh we know what a mind mangle is even we can't undo it."

"It's the darkest magic in the book. How did little Al get placed under it?"

"Not sure all we know is that she is, and we need to save her, we got through to her and she asked us to get this and bring it to you to see how damp the signature is." She pulled out the two halves of the Scarab.

Genie picked it up carefully, "It's pretty bad I don't know what you're going to do with it."

"I just need it to work in her mind."

Genie threw his hand out "Whoa stop the parade! That's really dangerous with a mind mangle going."

"It's the only way, I've already done it twice for Ryder and Aaron and I knew Jazzy is way more powerful but it's my one shot at fixing her."

Genie tightening his lips as Eden placed a hand on his shoulder, "Alright, Jazzy's head opened up to the castle, which is her imagination palace, when she was a kid, it was filled with imaginary friends, crazy animals and made-up spells, now i have no idea what could be in there. Then there's the ocean where Al almost got drowned. That's her family gallery, again it was filled with Pictures of Al, Jas, Aziz and her, now i don't know. After that is the desert, which is her dreamscape and where her emotions vault is, once you get there, you're gonna wanna use that Scarab and find her thoughtscape. It should be the cave of wonders and if you need that it still is. Her thoughts were always well organized and guarded even as a child. The mark of a great hero."
