Last time on DarkHearts: She glared at him, "Of course I do, the older you are the more is revealed not that it'll help in the long run because the closer you get the more you forget who you are. Ella is in real danger." Jay's grip on her tightens.
"I didn't know Aladdin had a Cane." Evie said in wonder.
"Aladdin? Why would I mean him, I meant Facilier."
~~~Now~~~
"Facilier!" All three said in shock.
Jazzy tilted her head, "yeah why?"
"It's just" Gil started to talk but shit up as she glared at him.
She motioned for Evie to answer her, "Ryder and Aaron asked for stuff involving their families."
She nodded, "That's what I'm doing." She looked at Evie's worried eyes, "Oh you mean Biological," She nodded. "Well Ryder and Aaron probably want to get to know their family, they probably feel robbed and disconnected, I don't. Facilier was a good dad. I got two sisters out of the deal, and he always taught me about where I came from. I know who my family is but I have no real feelings about them, I don't remember if they loved me or not and I wasn't robbed of any type of love. Ryder was robbed, and Aaron probably remembered Eric and Ariel even a little bit."
Jay nodded his head taking in the information, "That makes a lot of sense."
"We don't have a lot of time you have to go now."
"What about the Hourglass?"
"She doesn't come down here often hopefully by the time she comes by again I'll be getting out of here."
Jay and Evie tense but nodded and started making their way out, "Give me one minute I'll be right there," Gil told the two waving them off.
"I have nothing to say to you" she said, turning her back on him.
"You don't have to say anything, you just have to listen." She didn't say anything, so he took that as his cue to keep going, "I sorry, I've always been kind of a bumbling idiot that nobody liked you were the first one that did. I guess I was just, um what's the word."
"Jealous?" she asked, looking over her shoulder slightly.
Gil sighs and leans against the broken hourglass, "yeah I guess so."
Jazzy stares off into space for a moment, Gil thought she wouldn't answer so he started to make his way out of the cave. "I've manipulated a lot of people; I've made deals and I've probably sealed them by kissing half the people on the people on the isle." She turned around fully looking at him with her eyes glowing their natural magic color "But I've never fallen in love with any of them. I trusted you, but you didn't trust me, I get why. I'm in a state of disarray but you knew that Carlos was supposed to be my 'king'. I had to control him, and you still went along and hurt him. You hurt him, you hurt me Gil we're connected. You may as well have slammed me against the wall."
That image flashed in his head, and he grimaced, "I'm sorry," he whispered.
She shook her head, "Just go before I wake up."
Without another word he stepped out of the cave trying to keep his tears at bay. Jay saw him and placed a hand on his shoulder, "Is everything okay." He shook his head but didn't elaborate. Evie and Jay looked at one another and followed Gil out of the cave. Evie thanked the cave, but Jay was suspicious, "Hey cave!" he yelled before it could sink back in the sand. "If you're Jazzy's Though scape and you're sentient, why did you let her get trapped."
"I am merely an imprint of the real cave; I have no sense of difference. The Jazzy that runs rampant here is a near perfect copy. It's unlike anything ever seen. I could not tell the two apart." and with that the cave sunk down and the Scarab was left lying in the sand in two half.
"This is bigger than we thought." Evie said, grabbing the Scarab out of the sand, "We have to get back now!" The three started back the way they came, making their way as quickly as they could out of the desert. They passed the emotions vault but didn't notice the purple and orange threads sliding out from under the door.
The three covered their heads and made their way back though the family gallery. Gil heard a small scream behind him and saw Jay being strangled by a purple thread, "Evie!" She turned back just as another one, an orange one, wrapped around Gil's neck.
She swam back and dug her heels into the sand trying to pull them off the boy's neck. "This is gonna hurt." she warned, and she swam behind them. She grabbed the treads and her nails sharpened into thin claws. In cutting the thread she also nipped a bit of their necks.
"Is that how you do it. I thought no magic could work in here"
She shook her head, "No and since we're in the actual mind and it be thought up I could do it, a new technique i picked up. I'll tell you later now let's go; Jazzy doesn't want us in here. We have to get out before she wakes up.
The mind was an odd place, they had jumped off a cliff to get in the water last time but came out on flat land and they knew it was the same place because they saw the palace in the distance. "I can't go back there," Evie insisted.
"Eve."
"No, I can't, you don't know what was going on, what I saw."
"Evie," Jay shook her. "It's fine Ariana said she'd lead us back through." she huffed but nodded.
They trekked through the desert one more time and made it to the palace, "Ariana?"
She stumbled out of the shadows looking Ragged, "Come on I have to get you out of here she's gonna wake up!"
She ran them through the maze of creatures batting monsters out of the way with her broken chains. A spider Chimera reared up "there's a clear path to the door, go!"
The three didn't question it and just ran as the spells were already getting to Evie. As soon as they were out the door Ariana laughed, "Good job my pet," her appearance shifted back into Jazzy and all her glory. "Guess you're not that hard to copy." He said to Ariana who was gagged and chained to the wall tugging at her binds trying to get free. "There's no time to waste, we have to wake up to tell Ella."
Evie Heaved, "We need to go home." All Three project themselves out only to hear Screaming. They looked at Carlos who was holding Evie down he had a black eye and had to spit out a mouth full of blood, as Jazzy had kicked him in the face.
They quickly filled back into their bodies Helping Carlos, "Ella!" she shouts.
"She saw you Idiots!" Carlos Snapped. "We can't wait till morning."
Jay Grabbed his coat, "I'll go get the cane."
Evie grabbed hers. "I'll go get Uma. Gil try to get some blood for Carlos. The smaller boy whipped around in question only to get punched in the jaw. "Jane." She peaked her head in, "Find the Beast Voodoo doll."
"One hour." Gil said with no room for argument "At most."
