Chapter Thirty- five

Last time on DarkHearts: Aaron was gripping on to Ryder tightly, his eyes flickering dangerously in and out, like he was still fighting, "Ryder, Ryder." he clawed at the younger boy's jacket. The rest of the Hook siblings who were waiting off the beach looked on in horror and worry "Harry, Harriet, CJ." He yelled violently coughing right after, "Help me" he cried red tears staining his cheeks almost like he was bleeding from his eyes, "Help!"

The scream that ripped from his throat was enough to send the rest of the Hooks into a Tizzy. They all right straight to their brother who was gripping Ryder as if he was a lifeline, His anchor to reality.

"We're rig't 'ere lil brot'er" Harriet says holing Aaron up He's clearly on pain his whole-body twitches and jerks. His head snaps to his sister whose heart breaks upon seeing the look in his eyes. Her strong confident little brother, The boy king. The boy meant to lead, the fearless pirate was looking at her with so much fear, sobs escaped him, blood red tears pooled down his cheeks. Excess magic build up, All the magic he hadn't used over the years, releasing from him the only way it could.

Her big sister instincts took over and she pulled a white ruffled handkerchief out of her pocket and wiped down his cheeks doing her best to remove the tear tracks. CJ held her big brother's other hand as he gripped her tight, careful not to be as tight as he was to Ryder, she wasn't fragile, but she didn't wanna hurt her even if he was. Harry stuck close to his brother who had his head leaned on him gasping heavily. None of the Three pirates ever felt so useless.

"I'm holding on but it's still fighting." He gasped in pain. The only thing keeping him up were Ryder and his siblings.

"I'm here Aar, I'm here what do you need," Ryder said just as Quickly holding him up.

He cried out in pain, "Can't hold on. My head," He whined, "My thoughts."

"They thought scape."

He nodded, "Guarded, can't talk." He screamed in pain as the tide came in all five of them ankle deep in the water.

Attina, Alana, Adella, Aquata, Arista, Andrina, Gabriella and Urchin were all hanging out rather close to the surface hoping to get a glimpse of Aaron seeing as Ryder had mentioned trying to save him. Arista heard a scream and swam towards it, her white hair flying out behind her.

Attina, the oldest of them all, races after her, "Arista what are you doing!" All the others follow suit.

"Didn't you hear that?" There was another scream.

"It sounds like Aaron when he was little, I don't care if he does try to hurt me, he's our nephew and if he's in trouble,"

"Then we have to help," Alana Insisted.

They both raced up, 'We're all gonna get turned into fish food' Gabriella signed to Urchin rushing upward with all the others.

"Tell me about it," he grumbles.

They all reach the surface a peak up seeing Aaron scream and Ryder and the Hooks holding on to him tightly. "Ryder." Adella calls him over.

He shakes his head and mouths, 'In a minute'. The worried look on his face is enough to let them know that he's trying to help and heal him. He motions for them to peak back down and gets back to Listening to Aaron. "Your thoughtscape is guarded.

He nodded, "More than Evie and Gil, L-" He groans again, "Lon-" He lets out a sharp yell, "Lonnie!" they were all stunned into silence, "she knows all my moves. She can take them, no magic besides my own works in the thought scape, a protection the closer you get to eighteen," He huffs. His hair started fading back to red making Ryder tug at his own hair making the streak return. "Help me please." With one last sob he was yanked away pulled back into the thought scape.

Ryder dropped Aaron's hand the moment he started coming to Harriet was still whipping his face, "Harriet, CJ, Harry What's going on when did you guys get here? Why are you whipping my face?"

CJ was the one to answer, "We we're comin' te see yeh. And yeh 'ad blacked out and fell off t'e rock t'e two o' yeh were sittin' on and 'it your 'ead."

Harry continued, "We 'elped Pick yeh up and 'arrie was whippin' t'e sand off yer face.

"Yea but ya still 'ave a couple o' red spots on yer cheeks yeh 'it pretty 'ard."

He nodded, shaking his head. "Thanks, I guess, what were we talkin' about."

"Just the beach." Ryder said, looking out at the water.

When He managed to Excuse himself, he made a beeline for the Beach where Ariel's sisters, Gabriella, and Urchin were hiding. "What happened?" Aquata, the fourth sister, immediately asked, "Why was our Nephew Screaming like that."

"I was trying to get him out of his own mind. It worked for a bit, but the feeling is very painful. I needed to talk to him so he could tell me how to get to his thoughtscape. So, we could figure out what we need to free him."

Adella, the third sister, gave him a hopeful look, "Do you think that he'll need something from home." She asked, gesturing down to Atlantica.

"It's possible but I think it's more likely that he'll need something from his family with Ariel Eric and Melody, I needed things from my family too." he said rubbing her chin. "He got along fine with the Mermaids in Neverland, maybe because they were killers too, but I'm sure he'll be glad to meet you once this is all over." He assured Aaron Aunts. 

"Thats not very comforting," Andrina Remarks sinking back down a little. "Were not bad mermaids we're the good ones, the ones in neverland are.... unsettling." she said gnashing her teeth. 

Gabriella signed, 'I really hope this all works out, Ariel was so nice to me it's not right that her son is so, so.' 

"Scary, Blood lusting psychopath?" Urchin offered. 

'I wasn't gonna go that far' She rolled her eyes.

"No that's the right amount of far at the moment" Ryder said worrying Aaron's aunt "Everything will work out." he said standing, he pulled at his blazer and cleared his throat, "it's gotta work out." he pulled down the sleeves of his blazer waved goodbye to the merfamily and walked off

Gabriella is a POC nonverbal mermaid
and Urchin is a an orphaned merboy taken in by the royal family for a bit
