The dragons flew north. The wind was biting at the chin of the little boy in the Stormcutters arms. The dragons were unscaved by the cold air. It was getting colder for every hour they went north. The stormcutter adjusted her claws around the young viking to not let go by accident. She could feel him stirring around. She looked down underneath her and saw his eyes opening slowly looking around. She gave him a squeaking sound right before he passed out again. She looked back up and paid more attention to where she was heading.

She flew around corners of icebergs and unhabitable islands. In the horizon, she could finally see the sanctuary. The home of the Bewilderbeast, king and protector of dragons. She had flown for hours and was getting tired. She knew she could fly more if she wanted, and the boy didn't really weigh enough to make a difference. She had spent the majority of the flight thinking if she was doing the right thing. Should she have taken him? Was it right for her to take him away from his home? And most of all, wondering if he would survive. The bleeding had slowed down but had not quite stop. Her guess was that the cold air had slowed it down.

On her way, other dragons heading the same way saw her holding something in her claws. They flew closer to her to get a better look of what it was. The stormcutter shrugged them of and focused on not dropping him. Right before she entered one of the openings into the dragon sanctuary made of ice, the boy woke up again.

Hiccup pov:

The cold air was stinging my cheeks, the air was chilling but relaxing at the same time. I opened my eyes only having to blink trying to get used to the bright light coming from the sun on the horizon line. Wait, I don't have a window looking out over the ocean line.

I opened my eyes more and tried to look around, I must have hit my head because everything was blurry. I tried to grab my head to stop the massive headache but was unable to move my hands. I looked up and saw a dragon holding me in its talons. Multiple dragons were flying around us, but for some reason, I wasn't as scared as I probably should have been.

I tried to remember how I ended up like this, but my memories were hazy. Did I get hit in the head? I could feel something on the side of my face, and it smelled like iron. It must be blood then.

I didn't get to think further before getting brought back to reality. The dragon that was holding me flew into an opening in the biggest ice thing I had ever seen. To be fair, I had never left my island before. It felt like a labyrinth, the dragons made sharp turns disappearing ahead of us while the one holding me was taking slower approach.

We passed through an opening into a huge cave with ice, greenery and dragons of all colors and species flying around one big coulomb of ice in the center or sitting on ledges. We landed close to the entrance. The dragon let go of me on a soft patch of grass and stood right beside me. I unraveled myself from the fur skin I had no idea came from. I sat up and brought my left arm to touch my cheek. I winced and recoiled my arm to see crimson red blood. The numbing from the cold must still be working because that area was still a bit numb.

I felt something wet roll down my chin. I was crying. I didn't think it would hurt this much; the headache had gotten worse. I grabbed my head trying to get the pain to stop.

3.pov:

The boy grabbed his head, squeezing his eyes shut as tears of pain trailed down his cheeks. The stormcutter got worried thinking she might have hurt him during the flight. Her eyes widened as the boy once again fell limp onto the ground. She hurried over to him after having backed up after the scare. She nudged the boy trying to wake him and sniffed at him making sure he was still alive.

She used her snout to nudge him over onto his shoulder and grabbed the hem of his tunic, careful of not ripping it. She made sure he didn't fall out and flew over to the Bewilderbeast that was laying in the water with Scuttleclaw dragonbabies were flying around and walking on top of him.

The Bewilderbeast widened his eyes after seeing on of his most trusted dragons carrying a small viking. He rose a bit out of the water to get a better understanding of what was happening. "Cloudjumper, why did you bring that young viking into the sanctuary?" He said in a slow dark voice. "It's a long story" Cloudjumper said in a hurry.

The Bewilderbeast nodded letting know for her to continue. Cloudjumper told him how she found him, "He then looked at me, he looked curious and frightened, but had no compulsion of wanting to kill me" She down on the boy she had placed on the ground and saw him looking up and around with his eyes barely open. The Bewilderbeast looked curiously on. "And then" She continued, "One of the big vikings tried to attack me, but the kid held him back. He tried to protect me from what I think was his father".

At this the Bewilderbeast sat more upright, intrigued to hear this story. He had never heard of a viking trying to protect a dragon. "He got hurt, as you can see. I don't want him to die as it was also partly my fault for setting the place on fire" Stormcutter said nudging the boy and received a scratching under the chin by him.

"He is truly something special" she said looking back up. The boy looked at the Bewilderbeast as well.

"So, it would seem" he said. "I shall save him and let him live here. But you have to take care of him".

He drew in a deep breath and blew out a light-blue mist with shining particles over the boy. The scars had stopped bleeding but had not managed to heal fully. His pupils turned to slits for a second before he blinked, and they were gone again. His face looked more relaxed than before, indicating the headache was gone.

"I can not guarantee with his health, he is still human, and I do not know how hard he hit his head" The Bewilderbeast said looking into the eyes of Cloudjumper.

"Of course, my king" she said bowing.

Hiccup had a look of shook on his face. His eyes widened as he looked back and forth between the dragon that brought him here and the huge dragon he couldn't see completely caused by his massive side.

"Y-you can talk?!"
