Lunchtime. To a teenager, the best period in a school day. But to me, period of stares, whispers, and silence. Cammy already looks like she's gotten used to it. How does she do it? She could just sit beside you and talk to you like she's known you for years. To me, it's impossible. " So he just........ ", Cammy babbled on, but her story wasn't important to me right now. My goal was getting to a seat safely, where no one will bother. I sit in a corner table with the rest. I look at my tray and my bowl of salad. But I'm not hungry. Cammy isn't either. But Bernard here is stuffing his mouth. " Your not hungry?", asks George." No, because you never now if someone has poisoned it.", I say as I narrow my eyes at Bernard who stops eating at once. We all share a soft laugh. Then Flash. In a click of a button, everything changes. When I look back, a girl shows her peers. "She plans to put it on the school news paper.", Adam says. Then adds" Probably. ", but that doesn't help the anger. "That just what we need. What about dad? He' ll be so disappointed.", says Sarah. "No" , Cammy snaps, " He' ll take us out of school dummy. ", Cammy says. She acts as of it were common knowledge. " Just shutup about it. Okay?", everyone stays quite. But I am still looking back, narrowing my eyes at the girl as she puts away the camera and fans the print out picture.
The next day, I stare at the picture that hangs up on the wall. Amazingly, beautiful people laughing, gives happiness. But the passage shows something different. Now I know how students think. We are intruders, people who don't belong. The rest of this day was fine. Less stares, and all of a sudden it's ruin at the very last minute. I stammer the glass double doors. And to my car. Without any question from Cammy, I start my ignition and zoom off, not caring who is in the way. "Whoa! You almost hit him! What is wrong with you, Helen?!", she exclaims. But I don't answer, my eyes stay on the road but I'm not really paying attention. Just pressing a pedal, gripping on the pedal for support. "Helen, could you please answer me.", she ask. " They hung our picture up on the walls with the news. I knew it.", I say. "Well, I'm sorry, but suck it up buttercup because we've been confined for many years and this is school for you. They just envy us, the same way you envy them" , she says. She's right, I do envy them. I wish I as human. Not turn eighteen and still even if I was a regular........ monster like the others, I still wouldn't fit in. Its just who I am. "Alright.", I say and slow down a bit. "Okay.", so I was planning for the girls you and I go shopping, ", she claps her hands excitedly, "You up for it?", she ask. I ask myself the same question as well. Why not? "Yeah, sure.", I say. She claps her hands together. She grabs her phone and types a number so fast, not even bothering to look at her contacts. Hello, guess what? She said yes. I know, it will be so much fun. Alright, bye.", she clucks her tongue once as she hangs up her phone. "Do you know where you're going? "

The mall wasn't so bad. Very new and expensive clothes. Many I'm interested in. I love matching. I feel uncomfortable if I'm not wearing something matched. There are many styles and designs to choose from. Christine, Sarah, and Cammy drag me into Victoria secret. Under five minutes, Cammy has arms length of underwear and other products. We cash out everything when I hear laughing coming in my direction, thinking it might be Sarah and Christine. But no, I see a pretty blond girl with another bloody I recognize from school. She passes me a dirty look the moment we meet eyes. I turn quickly. This isn't good. As soon as Cammy's done, I'm the first one out the door and at the parking lot. This doesn't help my experience at school. I get home to stomping and yelling. The boys mist be watching the big game. And dad must be cranky because he's at work missing a game. I cross the living room, up the stairs, to my room. I go to the mirror and just stare at the beautiful stranger staring back. She has brown hair, pale white skin, blue eye contacts, and a curvy top model body. So many question, but the most important one needed to be answered is, " Why?", I ask. She ask the same question at the same time. I finally leave the mirror and turn on my CD player. I sulk as I listen to my favorite songs (especially Taylor swift).
We eat silently as the boys explain to dad about the game. Dad listen so closely. Thankfully, they recorded it for him."There something outside. Something big.", Adams says. He walks out of the dinning room. My dad follows. Soon I do as well with everyone behind me. He was right. A big, monstrous structure lowers from above and lands in th very middle of our yard. And then a trapdoor opens and lets in a bright light and a shadow takes form.
