Chapter 24

Cammy POV

During breakfast, Jayce explains what happened yesterday. Bassically, an asteroid almost hit the capitol of Tragia(it sounds so. . . . outerspace). If it weren't for Helen to save it. I feel a little thankful that my family didnt get killed. Watching them die. . . . . "Cammiliana, are you okay?", I snap back to Earth, I mean Antinium. "Oh, yeah. And you can call me Cammy." I smile at him cassually. He gives a grin back and turns back to his plate. "So, I was thinking if you and my sister can spend some time together. You know, get to know eachother. She definely agrees." I grin happily. "Of course. It will be a pleasure." I say politely. I have nothing to do anyway.

His sister, Lomatoda, leads me to her room.
"So, do you like fashion?" she asks. "Um, yeah. I like to match." I reply. She smiles at me.
"Today's you're lucky day because we are going to try on new clothes." she says and gestures me to her closet.

Helen POV

My eyes feel heavy causing me to open them lazily. The light is too bright, as well as the room. Everything is white. I lift myself up and look around. But, something grabs my shoulders and lays me back down, startling me. I sigh in relief when I saw it was Pane.
"Hey, How fo you feel?" he asks.
"I'm fine." my voice comes croaked. He reaches to one of the tables for water and places a metal tube in my mouth. Water flows in automatically. I push away when I've had enough. He just sits there and stares at me.
"I look terrible, dont I?" I say.
"No," he pushes a strand of hair behind my ear. "I'm just surprised in what you did. No one expected that." he kisses the top of my forehead.

The nurse said I have recovered enough to walk. Pane helps me to my feet. I realize I'm wearing a white jump suit. Everything is so bright my eyes are burning. Outside, my family waits anxiously. Thrt all sigh in releif and gush about what happend and if I'm okay. I just nod at all their questions and make an excuse about going to my room to sleep. They finally accept qnd let me go.

I turn up my music player as the song Blame by Calvin Harris shakes the room. Pane shakes his head and pulls my back to his chest.
"You'll never change." he says.
"And you'll always be cheesy." I look his confused face and laugh.
"Whatever." he mutters and kisses me. I turn around and place his hands on his cheeks. We stop to catch our breathe.

I take a seat on my bed. "Have you ever had a girlfriend?" I ask.
"No." he responds.
"Not even a crush?"
"What is crush?" his face is confused now. All I do is laugh.
"It means if you like somebody." I say.
"Well, I surely dont have a crush on you but more. He lays me back.

I wake up and its 9:30. I almost fall off the bed of it weren't for Pane holding me.
"Pane." I say. He snores in response. I try to push his arm away but it is very heavy. He brings it back up anyway.
"Pane!" this time he jumps up looking for me. "Down here sleeping beauty. It's 9:30, come on. Get up." he growns as he gets to his feet. He walks out as I jump in the shower. I dry myself quickly and put on a black leather skirt and a stripped shirt. As I come out, I already see Poltian walking/running towards me.
"Do you know what time it is?!" he say and dtomps in front of me. I didnt even know Pane was behind me.
"Um . . . . eight." I scratch the back of my neck.
"No, it's 10:11! We need to get to the control rooms now." he pushes me along the hallway. Once I get there, I'm out of breathe. But Pane gets to keep up perfectly. I sigh as I go into the control room. Poltian goes over the things about cleaning where the war happened, how haven't heard from Antiniun or Cammy. My heart sank when I heard this and I wanted to cry all over again.

Once I finished lunch, I went to my room and got the letter. I went through a halls all the way to Christine's room. Pane didn't ask no questions on the way. Before I knocked, I looked back at him.
"I'll be out here." he says nodding towards the door. I turn back to the door and knock. Christine opens the door and hugs me.
"I'm so glad you're here. I haven't spoke to you in ages. Come in." she gestures to the door.
Her room is decorated in this navy blue and red with brown furniture. It all looks . . . . nice. I take a seat in the brown chair.
"What's that?" Christine points at the letter in my hand.
"It's from Cammy. Before she left." I hold the paper out to her. She opens it slowly and scans each line. I see her feet go numb and she sits down before collapsing. She let's out a sharp sigh and puts down tge paper. A tear falls from her eye and she sniffs.
"Do you think we should show them?" she asks. I knew she meant the famiky do I nodded.

By dinner time, I let Christine handle the reading and talking. At the end, aunt Amy took the paper and read it herself. I bet she will save it in a memory book. But I felt I needed to say something. As everyone got ready to leave I just spilled it on the table.
"Wait!" I shouted, "I know why she left. She. . . . she fell in love with Jayce. I know she loves Tragia but she would leave for a big particular reason. To have him." all pairs of eyes were on me. I just heard Amy sniff in response. I sigh and walk out, my sneakers squeek as I do.

When I walk out, Pane isn't there. Where would he be? I take the route to my room. I turn the corner in one of the halls. When I do, Tetia leans in with a hard kiss. Not on anyone elses but Pane. I run as fast as I can, away from the scene. It makes it harder to breathe when I'm crying at the same time. How could I be so stupid?! I leave but fall for him again. I should've of stayed at the surface but I drowned. And now I'm at the bottom.
