Chapter 27

I wake up refreshed to the smell of his cologne. Wait! His cologne! I look at the arm wraped around me and groan. What happened? Probably what I thought was painkillers was probably a sleeping tablet. I turn to Pane. He snores heavily and deep asleep. I didn't want to leave from his dide and after all, he's sleeping. I snuggle next to him and wrap my leg around his. He pull me closer and I give him a light kiss on the cheek. He see smiles a little in his sleep. For that one second I thought, maybe he does love. Maybe the kiss was an accident. I just have the urge to kiss him right now. But I have yo fight the thought that I can't. I snuggle next to him and take in his beautiful, unknown smell.

I wake up again, to see him stroking my hair. I jerk away.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

"I just like to watch you sleep sometimes."

"Hmp" I humorously. He sighs heavily.

"I am not going to apologize. Obviously, you dont want me to. But I just want you to know that those weren't my intentions. Shd told me something was very wrong. I went to the control room to fix it and she took me outside the hall to say thank you. She just leaned in and kissed me. Believe me, I shook her off and realized what she was doing. I just wanted you to know the truth." this hit me. I thought the total opposite. My madness calmed but I still feel hurt and used.

"I just need some time to process that." I say and walk out of the room. I sigh and press my back against the wall. I love him so much, I cant let him go. We are shackled in chains we cant break. I wish Tetia never came, or never existed in our world. I just want to run back and hug him very tightly. Thinking of that, I realize I still have that cuff on my arm.

I walk inyo the main room where people scramnle around, gettimg ready to land on Tragia.

"Excuse me." I tap one of the ladies that passed by. "I'd like to know how to take this off." I dhow her the cuff on my wrist.

"I'm sorry you highness, uou hve to wait until ee get to Tragia. That is a serious condition." I accept hrt response anf nod. I go back to the room and Pane is still there, with his hands in his face. I really hurt his feelings in something he didnt do. And I want something that he has, but I dont know what. I kneel down and push his hands awat from his face. His eyes send a knife through my heart. They look so hurtful and broken. I close my eyes and lean in. I kiss him. I feel him blink taken by surprise. He kisses me back, his sweet lips delightful. I've missed it so much. I didn't want to stop. I gently pull him back on the bed.

Cammy POV

I didn't see Jauce for dinner or breakfast he must be really mad. But, I dont understand why when she asked to marry him in the first place. I decide to go visit him.

I pause in front of his door. I didn't know what to expect but it better be good. I knock on his door three times. I wait for a few moments and finally, the door opens.

"H-Hi," I stuttered "I just wanted to visit you and see how your were doing." he looked terrible with dark bags under his eyes. He even had a red nose.

"I'm fine. I'm just mad." he says.
"Why?" I ask. His voice becomes low.
"She killed my father." I was taken aback by this. She is messed up.

"I am so sorry." I almost cry myself. He pinches the bridge of his nose.

"Do you want to come in?" ge as Lml s and I definitely nod. He gestures inside and closes the door behind him. Everything is neat in place and I don't see a speck of dust. He probably has an OCD problem. The only thing out of place was his bed.

"You can sit." he gestures to the bed. I sit down and he plops beside me. "I loved my father. He always encouraged us to do the best. Helen's body guard, he's my cousin. His father died also. But it wasnt recent." he says. His eyes are really puffy. He looks sick.

"Jayce, why don't you lay down. You look sick." he obeys and gives a low growl and winces. I go into the bathroom and get a little towel and a use a white bowl to fill with water. I squeeze the towel as water flows down my hands. I gentlh place on his forehead and he lets out a little sigh. I grin a little. The towel quickly goes warm and I wet it again.

"You have a very high fever. You need medication." I suggest.

"I already have a doctor at my side." he smiles faintly and closes his eyes. "I'm sorry for my behavior. I've been a little moody lately." he says frowning.

"It's okay." I nod. I stay there for a while as we drift to sleep.

Helen POV

Pane is fast asleep on top of me. It feels kind of weird because I'm half naked on the bed. Didn't want to go that far. Someone knocks on the door.

"Yes?" I call.

"We have already landed and you need to be escorted." A man says and I hear him leave. I shake Pane gently and he immediately wakes up. He places his chin on my stomach looks into my eyes.

"Time to go." I say.

"Does this mean you gavee another chance?" he asks softly.

"Well, I didn't sleep with you for the fun of it." I roll my eyes. He starta to wiggle his eye brows and smile. I laugh and pushes him of and hold the blanket to cover me. Although, I still had my panties and b e a on. Behind me, I hear him suck his teeth and the blanket suddenly falls. Shocked I turn my head to see him ball up the blanket and throw it across the room.

"You were walking." he suggest. I roll my eyes and try to find my clothes he watches me closely.

"Would stop staring and get up. We need to leave." I say. He sigh and obeys but still watches me as he does.

"Your creepy." I say. But he just grins and buttons his pants.
