TWENTY NINE

My alarm woke me up I stretch my body out while laying in the bed I turned over and smiled seeing Trouble sleep like a baby. I gotten out of bed and did my morning routine shower, brush teeth and flat iron my hair I went into the room and Trouble wasn't in the bed any more I went into the closet to pick out my outfit I quickly put on my clothes and walked out the room

"Man this some bullshit we need to find out who supplying these niggas ain't no way our profit getting lower and lower everyday" Trouble said into the phone "you and Troy might as well get ready to mask up I'm ready to run in these nigga pockets" he said as I walked full into the kitchen "aight foe let me call you back" he finished the conversation

"What's that about?" I asked he ran his hand down his face

"To be honest with you ion want you to know what I do out here the less you know they safer you are" he said

"I thought we just went over this last night Sakani come on now" I said

"Li what I do for business is not legitimate like I said the less you know.." he was saying

"Yeah yeah I know the safer I am" he passed me a bowl and some cereal

"You about to head out in a second ain't you?" He asked

"Yeah" I looked down at my Chanel watch "matter a fact right now" he nodded

He kissed me on the forehead and I left out but in the back of my mind all I could think about was his conversation on the phone. I just know my daddy got something to do with what he was talking about and I'm finna figure this shit out.

Tuh what I look like having my daddy, brother and boyfriend beefing this is not that.

So lost in my thoughts I pulled up to school I grabbed my journal and went to class. As I was going to my class the doors to the school flew open with EMTs I stood steal then my phone rung "hello" I spoke into the phone not taking my eyes off the EMTs

"Can you come scoop me I left my car on the block" Trouble said

"I'm at school fool" I walked in the class and seen Ember get placed on the stretcher I rolled my eyes "here I come" I said running out of the school to pick him up

"Ain't this about a bitch" I said to myself getting in the car

I sped way back to his condo I called his phone letting him know I was outside it felt like forever before he came down. I watched as he made his way to the car wear a white tee that fit his body and some amiri jeans with a monclear bubble coat that's unzipped and a monclear beanie and some butta boy oh boy what I'll do to that boy.

"What hospital they take her to?" I asked

"UChicago" he replied not taking his eyes outta the phone I gps our destination "like what the fuck she wasn't due till April" he said

"You been going to the appointments with her?" I asked

"Yeah one after the DNA came back" he replied still in his phone then it rung and he picked up on the first ring "damn already" he shook his head "aight" he said before hanging up

"We two minutes away" I said already knowing he missed his child being born "what she have?" I asked

"A boy" he said nonchalant

"You not supposed to be all down like this you just had your first child fuck that you first son you supposed to be happy jit" I said

"Yeah I know I just hope I'm not a terrible father" he sighed

"Your gone be great especially with me by your side but every parent fuck up every now and then you gotta make mistakes to show him this isn't that" I said he chuckled
