I sat in the living room playing with baby Sakani. While dead president played in the background.
"My lil baby" I cooed him as he giggled. Sal came in and sat on the couch as I sat on the ground with the baby, I continue to play with him
"You watching this?" He asked I shook my head no, he picked up the remote and changed the channel to football I glanced to see who was playing "that's what I'm talking about" he sat up in his seat "where dude?" He asked referring to Trouble
I struggled my shoulders "ion know and ion care" he nodded I got up and handed him baby Sakani and went into the kitchen and grabbed me a few snacks
"Can you grab me a water bottle?" Sal asked I sighed
"Do I look like a maid?"
"Do I look like a babysitter?" I rolled my eyes
"Boy bye" I grabbed everything and went back into the living room "here stank face" I handed him the water "so where have you been?" I asked opening my Welch fruit snacks
"Chilling" I grabbed the baby from him "shit for real look for a little spot so I could bring my nana down here. My aunt tryna get the fuck outta Chicago" he said I nodded
"I know this place it's a house, a few blocks up the street next to my school" I said Trouble came in and went into the kitchen "when I ride past it again I'll get the number for you" I said as Trouble came in and sat next to me getting baby Sakani
"Bet" Sal said taking my snack out of my hand and getting up to leave out
"You fat bitch" I giggled. I looked over towards Trouble and the baby and they looked like identical twins I smiled.
"What you been doing all day?" Trouble asked me not taking his eyes off baby Sakani
"Me" I said nonchalantly he shot his attention to me "it ain't fun a less we all have some" I got off the couch and started picking the baby toys up and putting them in the basket
"That's yo problem" he said
"No you're my problem" I stopped in my tracks and looked him dead in his eyes. He placed baby Sakani in his bouncer and turned to face me, I brushed past him and went into the kitchen with him on my tail "it's fuck me, huh. Mothafucka don't stop and think 'nah I can't do her like this' nah mothafucka out for themselves" I said cleaning up
"I haven't seen that bitch in weeks" he said I looked at him like he was crazy
"Do you hear how stupid you are?" I leaned on the island using my hands for support "you shouldn't have fucked with the hoe at all" he sat on the stool and looked at me "now tell me how you'll feel if you knew I was doing what you were doing, huh?"
"I'll fuck you up" he replied
"My fucking point. If you don't want me doing the shit why do you think it's okay for you too?" I asked he shrugged and I copied him "you do know. You just don't fucking care." He raised his eyebrow "you gone let them hoes fuck up yo family"
"Why would you let them?" I closed my eyes and took a deep breath
"Sakani stop playing with me. You can have them hoes just leave me the fuck alone don't play with my feelings" I said
"Li, you starting to piss me off. That shit old ass hell yes I fucked up but damn you gone keep bring the shit up everything fucking time" I jerked my head back
"Yes. That's some foul ass shit you did" I said honestly "you pleasuring bitches the way you please me, them seeing you naked" I closed my eyes because I had the urge to cry. I walked out of the kitchen to the living room he followed me and sat on the couch and picked baby Sakani up and laid him on his chest and stared at the tv with a blank look. I rolled my eyes and sat on the end of the couch
"I know my sorries don't mean shit to you" he looked over to me "but I love you" he said
I shook my head "maybe if it was a genuine apology like you mean it, then maybe I'll accept it" I laid on my side "you pull some shit like that again. Me and Sakani is gone" I said
*THE NEXT DAY
I waited outside my campus waiting on Sal to pick me up to take me to my doctor's appointment to check on my arm. I took my car to the shop yesterday to get it checked out, but I guess I went to late because they told me to come pick it up first thing in the morning but I couldn't because I had class. It's been five minutes now and my appointment is in ten minutes and the hospital is thirty minutes away. I picked my phone to dial Sal number waiting for him to pick up, but no avail
"What it do baby?" I heard Zahc say coming up behind me. I smiled "you miss me, huh?" He chuckled
"Nah just yo goofiness" he bit his bottom lip
He pointed at my cask "how long you gotta keep that on?"
"That's where I'm heading to now" he nodded and just stared at me "what?"
He shrugged "I just like staring at you that all" I playfully rolled my eyes "when we gone get married man" he grabbed my hand and I giggled like a little school girl
"Zahc chill out" he chuckled and I did the same
"Why you don't let me do that for you?"
"What?"
"Keep you smiling" I smiled and playfully pushed him
"Shut up"
He held his hands up "I quit.. I quit" he scooted back a little "but I gone keep fucking with you till you become my girl you know that right?" He put his finger under my chin
"It's cool I like the attention you give me" he smirk
"That ain't gone be the only thing I'm gone give you" I gave him a eww face "oh I ain't talking about rock" he said
"Rock?" I question
"Yeah, you know how other niggas say Johnson" I nodded "yeah, this ain't no Johnson baby this a Rock" I laughed "a third leg you hear me" I continued laughing
"You so stupid man" I heard a car door open and close
"Man get yo goofy ass over here" I heard Trouble say. I shot my attention to him
Oh shit.
"Damn" Zahc said "just don't die before our second date" he stared to walk away
"Aye foe quit playing with me before I flip you and that damn school" Trouble said, Zahc stopped on the stepped to turn his attention to him
"Yeah, okay buddy" he chuckled "and you want be hear to see them kids grow up" Trouble jerked his head back and went to the car, I quickly went over to stop him
"No, chill out it ain't that serious" I said holding on to his arm, he yanked out my grip
"Get yo dumb ass in the car" he said stand in the driver door. I went over and got in "you one goofy mothafucka" he said pulling off
"Boy shut up" I shook my head "you just looked like a complete idiot" I said
"Li, you gone keep playing with and I'm gone whine up in jail" he shook his head "ain't that's that one dude?" He asked
"Yeah, ya competition" I said the last part to myself he hit the brakes and I almost hit my head on the dashboard
"Yeah okay" he looked me dead in my eyes, then proceeded to drive away. I laughed "the fuck you laughing at?"
"The audacity" he sucked his teeth "but I was overreacting when I found out that you was fucking bitches but you not when you see a nigga talking to me"
"Man here we go" he said
"Yeah here we go" he cut me off
"I fucked up I know it, but best believe it won't happen again" I rolled my eyes he picked up his water bottle and started drinking it. I guess he was drinking it to fast because he started choking
"Yeah, choke on that bullshit" I crossed my arms over my chest.
