I blinked my eyes repeatedly to adjust my eyes to the light. I heard a machine beeping "what happened?" I asked as Trouble stood in front of the tv he walked to the door and let a nurse know I was up.
"Hey Ms.Carter" she said checking me over she held up some fingers "how many fingers I'm holding up?" She asked
"Three" I said
"Okay do you remember what happened?" She asked I shook my head "you were in a car accident" I felt my stomach and hopped up "it's okay he's doing great he have being in NICU he will be going home today. Would you like to see him?" She asked I nodded "okay so before we go get him we have to go over you health" she pick up a clipboard "so you have three broken ribs so you'll have to be careful on how you move around and you have a broken arm" I looked down at my arm and cut her off
"How long will I be in this cask?" I asked
"Three months" she pull out a X-ray "see here your arm broken in four different places" I looked over towards Trouble
"Where is everybody?"
"Yo mama and daddy just left, Asia was here yesterday she said she'll be back today after she finish working and Dahja went back to Atlanta" he said "I'm about to call yo peoples now and tell them you up" he left out the room
"How long have I been out" I said over to the nurse
"A week" she put the clipboard back "okay I'm going to get your handsome son for you" I smiled and Trouble reappeared
"So what happened?" Trouble asked sitting next to me
"It's all a blur I don't remember" I said he nodded as they brought the baby in. They sat him on my chest I read his wristband that said baby boy Carter I cooed him "he so tiny" I said she chuckled
"He weighed six pounds two ounces when he was born" I looked up at her then back to the baby "now he weighs seven pounds even" she said "I'm going to leave you guys alone with that baby" she said as she was exiting another nurse popped
"I'm sorry I just wanted to see the baby" she walked over and cooed him "he's the sweetest and a eye catcher all the nurses always stopping by to see him" she said before walking out
"Did you name him?"
"Yeah. Sakani Alexander Banks Jr" he said I smiled
"Hey baby Sakani" I said Trouble join us in the bed
"You gotta do skin to skin with him" he said pulling my gown down a little and pulled Sakani baby onesie over his tiny head and placing him on me
My parents walked in "mija" she rushed towards me "I'm so happy you're up" she said my dad stood by the door "look at him looking like a papi" she smiled
"He does" I chuckled I looked towards my dad "I'm not a zombie daddy" he smirked
"I know" he sat on the bed "I was scared tew death I'm still in disbelief" he said staring me over "dew yew rememba whet happened?"
"No all I remember is being out to dinner with Dahja" I said
"You don't remember calling me?" Trouble asked I shook my head no
"Why did I call you?" I asked
"About DK" he said I looked up to think then I shook my head no "it's cool" a doctor walked in
"It's normal for some people to forget what took part before a concussion" she walked towards me as my mom grabbed Sakani from me "for some it take days and for others it takes years for most it never come back" everybody nodded "so how are you feeling?" She asked
