FIFTY NINE

We spent about all day taking baby Sakani pictures. "It ain't that many poses he can do. He two months Li" Trouble said

"No, I seen some cute baby photoshoots on Pinterest and I want to try them" he walked away from me and sat in the chair. I looked back at him and he had a blank stare, I rolled my eyes "Aight this the last picture" I said. Tez, the photographer nodded.

I went over to get baby Sakani diaper bag "okay y'all can get him dressed now" he said I went towards them "so now you can just set up an appointment whenever you ready" he said I nodded changing baby Sakani.

Trouble walked up bring his car seat. I placed him in it. Trouble then grabbed his car seat and diaper bag and we walked out. Once we got in the car he quickly pulled off. He pulled his phone out his pocket and clicked the side to unlock it. He threw his phone on his lap and looked for the charger with his free hand with his eyes still on the rode, once he got it "do this for me" he said and I did he cut the radio up blasting music as I scrolled through my phone

After fifteen to twenty minutes we was arriving at home. I got out and he did the same he grabbed baby Sakani from the back. I unlocked the door and we made are way through a dark house. I slide my hand on the wall to find the light switch but Trouble reached past me and flicked it on. He went over to the couch with baby Sakani.

I went into the kitchen to prepare dinner. I opened the refrigerator and searched. I grabbed out a pack of T-bone steaks,and broccoli. I got my skillet hot, then grabbed two potatoes. After oiling and salting them up I put them in the oven and seasoned the steaks and put them on.

Trouble walked over and stood near me "what?" He shook his head. He sat and watched me cook "it would be a lot better if you would help me"

He came over and did all the things I told him to do. I even had him make the plates up. I made baby Sakani bottle and feed him while watching Trouble. He took him out of my hands and burped him. "What's your problem?" I asked him

"What?"

"For the last couple of hours you been quite" he shrugged his shoulders

"I got this weird feeling, like some shit gone happen" he went over and put baby Sakani in his bouncer

"Like what?" He walked back into the kitchen with baby Sakani in it. He place him near us on the island

He shrugged "ion know" he said and I changed the setting on low to rock him back to sleep. We both started to begin on our food.

Sal came running in the house, we both shot our eyes at him "nigga why you ain't been answering the phone" he said. Trouble got out of his seat and checked his pockets

"You must of forgot it in the car" I said watching the both of them

"Man bro" Sal ran his hand down his face he looked like he wanted to cry. He took a deep breath

Now my heart is beating out my chest "nigga what?" Trouble question, I could tell his was becoming nerves

Back in Chicago, the weather was changing. It was still warm outside but windy. Ember decided she'll let Hunter play outside today.

It's Ember, her friend Isis, sister Jade and Hunter. Ember watched as Hunter waddled around in Jade yard.

"They basically tryna play family with Hunter" Jade said

"Right. First I gave the hoe the nigga, then she done got pregnant" Ember shook her head "this bitch envy me" she picked up her phone and texting away

"Wassup with you and Zahc" Isis chimed in

"Girl he just something I fuck on from time and time whenever he comes out here" Ember shrugged, now watching every move Hunter made.

"I'm still stuck on the Li bitch" Jade said sitting next to her sister on the porch stairs

"What about the hoe?" Ember looked at her sister "the bitch real live wanna be me. And the hoe is a non factor" Ember said dismissing the conversation. Isis is now playing with Hunter and Jade's neighbor daughter. He smiled showing his two bottom teeth

"And I'll rather him, get him for thanksgiving than Christmas" she added. Jade neighbor daughter had came and sat by Ember.

"Why are your lashes so long" Ember twisted her face up. The little girl couldn't be no older then nine

"Because they are" she replied smartly "why are you in my face" the little girl shrugged

"My mama said girls that wears a lot of makeup. Is insecure" she said

"Well yo mama is stupid and if you keep listening to her you will be too" Ember smiled "now get out my face and go play like a kid" Ember turned and faced her sister. The little girl rolled her eyes and got up from her seat

"Bitch you stupid" Jade said

"No fuck her and her mama" Ember replied. Her eyes caught the glimpse of a white car that rode past several times. "This like they sixth time riding past" she stood up.

Being from where she's from this normally means something is about to pop off. Ember knows that Jade's neighbor boyfriend is a local drug dealer and her baby father is too. Ember was a messy individual but she knew this car wasn't doing circles around the block because of her. She went to grab Hunter, Isis looked up at her as Ember eyes was locked on the white car that parked in the middle of the street. Ember turned to walk away.

BOW! BOW! BOW!

Guns shots fired. She dropped down to the ground and laid Hunter under her. She looked over as Isis was laid next to her with her face buried in the ground, Jade crawled in the house. She covered Hunter ears as he kicked and cried under her. God please don't hurt my baby she thought. She heard multiple footsteps come towards her. Isis began to screaming letting her know she also heard them coming.

Somebody grabbed Ember arm and flipped her over. She closed her eyes, so whoever was over her wouldn't have a reason to kill her. She had a grip on Hunter hoodie "open yo eyes bitch" she felt the tip of the gun hitting the temple of her head, she shook her head no. Somebody grabbed her by the shirt "bitch, you got five seconds" she felt somebody yank Hunter out her hands. She shot her eyes open

"Give me my baby back" she yelled. She looked around and seen four guys in all black and mask. The one that had her at gun point picked her off the ground by her shirt and one held a gun to the back of Isis head. She looked in the eyes of the one the had her by the shirt "bitch give me my baby back" she looked at his lips they was shown because of the hole, he smirked. He cocked his gun back and slammed into onto Ember face which cause her to fall to the ground.

She held her jaw. She knew it was broken. She looked at her hand and it was covered in blood, she started sobbing "ain't so tough now" he kneel down in front of her "you want you son back" he turned his head to the side and Ember looked at what he was looking at and she seen some guy holding Hunter as he cried reaching for her "get him up outta here" he said. She sobbed even louder than before, two guys left and got in the car while two stayed behind. One with a gun in the back of Isis head and one kneeled in front of her. He turned to be face to face with Ember "tell yo baby daddy to come see me about him" he stood up and nodded at the guy above Isis

He let off a shot to the back of her head. Ember body jerked when the gun went off. They both walked away and the car sped off. Ember sat on the ground in total shock. Her jaw was broken, her son was just took from her and her friend was murder in front of her. Jade peeked out the door seeing the coast was clear, she rushed to her sisters aide "Em get up" she said trying to lift Ember off the ground. Ember head started pounding, she felt sick. "Somebody call 911" Jade yelled out. Her neighbor came out with her phone to her ear.

"I'm doing it now" she replied. Ember zoned them out and blinked her eyes repeatedly.
