At the abandoned furniture company, a man and his associates sat right outside the entrance, hatching a mischievous plan.
"Boss, instead of just killing him, we can take away the things he love the most. One by one and make him suffer, that will give him a slow and painful death." One of the boys said.
"Woah, I like your plan! We start with that girl." The boss commanded.
"Rest assured boss, she's dead as soon as she comes In my range."
"And to you..." He said turning to the girl before him.
"Listen to me young girl. You can no more harbor affections. That man was somehow responsible for your father's death. He is responsible for our downfall and he has to pay for it. Do you understand? We'll ruin him first and then give him a taste of despair."
"Be rest assured, Uncle." She replied.
"Good girl."
"Go ahead with your plans." He instructed his subordinate.
Aliyah's POV
Have you ever been in a situation where you knew something was going to happen, but, when it finally happens, it will feel as if you knew nothing before then.
I, Aliyah was a girl who used to run away from love. But then, even after running for eternity, I still met love at the finish line. And it gifted me roses, I took them. I held them firm within my grasp until my soul bled from the bite of its thorns.
I still held on to the gift of love, even when it gave me pain, even when all it did was break me. For, I learnt to grasp the thorns, I learnt how to numb the pain. Little did I know, that the thorns sent poison, slowly making it's way to my heart, and it got me.
How firm is the grasp of fate?
Can one ever evade his fate?
No.
You see, in the course of life, you will meet the bright good days, you will also meet the dark ones. You will smile, laugh and dance, you will also get broken, you will be hurt, and you will cry. You will cry until there is a drought in your eyes. And you get conversant with pain, so much that you welcome it with open arms.
There is something about life, it wouldn't be all rainy days neither will it be all sunny days. You will gain but you will also loose.
One thing is certain, everything of this world is temporary and will definitely go away. So it is with the people that come into your life, they will leave as soon as their part in your life is over. It doesn't matter if they promised you eternity, they don't own it, neither do you. You and I are but travellers on a divinely orchestrated path, and no matter the turns we choose to take, it will all lead us to a finish line, death. The sooner we accept that, the faster we will find peace.
I am sorry if I sound like a sadist, but after everything that happened to me,
I Know that life will disappoint you, it will be better if you don't have high expectations from people and from life.
Look at me, broken, hurt and obsessed with my past. And though I did let go, it still creeps in to haunt me.
Look at fate, it took my lover only to send another to my door.
Tell me, how do you go about Writing the next chapter when you are stuck on the last?
"Knock knock!" Came the voice of my door, disrupting my thoughts.
"Come in." I said.
"Someone is here to see you." Mommã said as soon as she stepped in.
