Somewhere in a cafe, a lady boiled of rage, she glared at a man standing before her as if she was going to devour him. She was angry because, she gave him one job and he failed at it.
"I told you to watch them closely, how did they get away?" She asked.
"I had to answer the call of nature alright! When I came back they have already left the hospital" The Man said.
"Enough!" She signalled with her hand. "Where is boss?"
"At the old factory" He replied.
"Go, I will report to him by myself."
"Yes ma'am"
With that he left her alone, plotting all sorts of evil things she could do to get Aliyah out of her way.
"Aliyah, I will never let you take what's mine" She said.
Hafiz's POV
I looked at the SMS I just typed, deliberating whether to click the send button or not. I read it again for the hundredth time.
"I have tried so much to stop myself from falling for you, but the further i run, the more my heart drifts towards you. Aliyah, my heart finds solace in you. You are that piece meant to complete me and I feel it deep within me."
A part of me wanted to press the send button, a part of me wanted otherwise.
What to do? I was caught in-between the devil and the deep blue sea. After a deep deliberation I finally made a choice.
I clicked on it.
Send!
Send? No, it was the backspace button, I cleared the message just like i did many messages before now.
How ironic is it, that the delete button on our keyboard knows more of our truths and realities than the send button.
I don't know how long I can keep hiding my feelings for her? But I am pretty sure that the walls of my heart are on the brink of collapsing. I hope when they do, she will save me from drowning.
I picked up my keys and abruptly rushed down the stairs.
"Where are you going brother?" Zarah asked as soon as I was down.
"Honestly, i don't know. I just need some fresh air."
"Can I tag along?"
"Yes"
She hooked her arm in mine as if we were a couple and then,we walked to my car and drove off to an unknown destination.
"Your wife came home today" She said.
"Mother told me"
"You know, she wants you to take her back."
"Did she tell you that?"
"She's too scared to say it, but its obvious brother. Why do you think she keeps visiting us these days?"
"Well, I don't know what to say."
"You don't want her back, do you?"
"I am not sure" I said, and i didn't lie.
"Is it because of Aliyah?"
