Second Chance?

" Who is here?" Aliyah asked Pinky repeatedly.

"Someone you don't wish to see right now."

"But who?"

Pinky fell silent, as if she doesn't want to say, drowning Aliyah in a sea of suspense as to who she saw.

"Could she have seen Sameer?" Aliyah tought to herself, just as she was wondering Pinky pulled her out of the waters.

"My greatest crush of all times" Pinky finally cheered, a rainbow of blush forming on her fluppy yet cute cheeks.

Clinching her fist Aliyah gave pinky a light punch, the second one followed, then the third. The punches only stopped when Pinky Ouched loudly pretending that the punch was really painful.

"You almost gave me a heart attack, Pinky for God sake" Aliyah said as she paused her friendly assault on Pinky who was was still jumping of joy.

Pinky had this crush she once saw while they were still in the University, but she wasn't brave enough to approach him, she always spoke about him even though they saw him only once and never saw him again. That really pisses Aliyah off all the times and she hated talking about this mysterious crush. Pinky missed her chance and never saw the man again since then, today she saw him for the second time.

" You really are lucky, not everyone gets a second chance, you must definitely talk to him today" Aliyah encouraged her

"You do realise, that you just encouraged me to approach a guy?" Pinky said not believing this was coming from Aliyah's mouth.

" Oh! Did i just do that? Yes Darling go for it"

"What!! Is this really the Aliyah i know? I am not dreaming, right?" Pinky's disbelief still showed on her face, however only Aliyah smiled and in response she said:

" I have learnt that it takes great courage to love, it's a huge risk but it's worth a try. Besides this is the only guy that renders the Pinky queen helpless, this is your second chance, lets go get him"

"No! No! No..This can't be You, did you hit your head on the wall or something? Oh No! Aliya switched body with someone else" Pinky Said

Not just pinky, even i am yet to believe that Aliyah is actually saying all of these, but alas the series of events that happened in her life tought her to love freely and that people will always be loyal to whom they choose to be. The more you try to protect yourself from pain the more it hunts you.

Aliyah held Pinky by the hand and dragged her towards the kitchen but she still spoke as they walked

" The therapist told me that some pages of our destiny are left blank so can draw and color our fate the way we want it, don't be a coward now"

Glancing on her crush once again, pinky was drowned in her own imaginary world.
She imagined herself on a beach with this tall man with broad shoulders, dark in complexion, averagely handsome, when he smiled his dimples showed and that's what thrills her the most about him. She imagined how their children will look like, a mixture of her fair and his dark complexion gave her a light skinned, two little version of himself and her. Mummy! Mummy! they shouted as they sprinkled water on each other, but then a wave approached them, and they all had no choice but run towards their father who stood ashore and was about to join them. Pulling out a full loaded water gun he bombarded them with bullets and soon every one had his water gun in his hands, such a perfect family she imagined. She was about to pull her man closer for a kiss when suddenly Aliyah's voice came down like storms and shattered her imaginary world.

"Oooh! I was so close and you ruined it all, you just know how to ruin good moments isn't it?" pinky bellowed

"My God! Pinky, Were you daydreaming already?" Aliyah couldn't help but laugh at her friend's imaginative perception
