Tears rolled down Amelia's face as Rafe was getting upstairs.
"Pick yourself up Amelia." She thought to herself. "No I'm not gonna let him affect me. I'm done with his shit. I tried and you know what I'm not gonna let him win."
Amelia ran up the stairs straight to Rafe's room. She flew the door open.
"Ever heard of knocking?" He asked angrily
"No and I don't care. First you're gonna stop treating me like shit cause wether you like it or not, we live together now." Amelia said looking at him directly in the eyes
"Oh so you're ma—."
"Shut up I'm not finished. I'm not asking you to be friends I want you to just leave me the fuck alone." She said harshly without looking away from Rafe's eyes.
"Are you finished?" Rafe asked rolling his eyes "Can I talk now?"
"Yes." She replied
"Okay first of all I don't care." Rafe said "Second of all I would also like it if you could shut up every once in a while."
"Did you hear what I just said?" Amelia asked incredulously
"Amelia, like I said, I really don't care what you think." Rafe replied
"I'm not asking you to be friends Rafe I just want us to tolerate each other." She said
"You want me to fucking tolerate you when all you do is talk talk talk." He spat angrily
"Rafe could you please make a fucking effort for once." She sighed
"Oh you want efforts?I've been making efforts. I've been trying not to kiss you since you came into my room. That's what I call effort." He spat
"What?" She asked looking at him as she lowered her tone
"Ahh fuck this." Rafe said heading straight to Amelia
His lips crashed into hers. Amelia hesitated for a second and then kissed him back. After a few seconds she pulled back. She looked at him in his eyes and the went back for another kiss. Rafe pushed Amelia on her bed. The kiss then became a heavy. Rafe came down and kissed Amelia's neck. He started sucking on it hoping it would leave a mark. Amelia let out a small moan wich drove Rafe crazy. They were both breathing heavily when they heard knocking.
"Rafe, dinner's ready!" Rose said
"Hmmm fuck." He mumbled while catching his breath
He got off Amelia.
Amelia got up the bed and went in front of his mirror to check herself.
"Shit what am I doing?" She asked herself "Pull yourself together."
She looked at Rafe who didn't even bother to look at her. He then left his room leaving Amelia inside of it. Not one word was said.
Amelia went downstairs. Everyone was already at the table and the only place left was beside Rafe.
"Great." She thought to herself
She headed for the last chair. Rafe tried really hard to not look at her. He was trying to focus on his plate like he was concentrated on his plate. He just couldn't bear the thought of him saying something that would fuck up everthing.
Sarah gave a suspicious look to Amelia. Does she know? Maybe the messy hair gave it away or maybe also the fact that she saw her coming out of Rafe's room. Amelia gave a small nod to Sarah confirming her she was right. Sarah's hand flew over her mouth.
"Are you okay Sarah?" Amelia's mother asked
"Yes I'm fine Jasmine thanks." Sarah replied
Amelia took a deep breath a sat down beside Rafe. She didn't want to look at him too. It was so awkward and tense. Sarah knew and it made it worse.
"So what we're you guys doing upstairs?" Sarah asked finding the situation extremely amusing
Amelia looked at Sarah. Her eyes widened.
"Oh hum Rafe was giving a tour of the house." Amelia replied
Everyone started laughing. What's so funny?
"Amelia honey, you've been here multiple times why would you need a tour." Jasmine said laughing
As Amelia was about to say something, Rafe put his hand on her thigh. He gripped it letting her know to stop talking because they were gonna get caught if she continued.
"What Amelia means is that I gave her a tour of my books in my room. She wanted a book so I was giving her a few suggestions." Rafe replied calmly still squeezing Amelia's thigh.
"Oh really, wich one did you took." Ward asked
"Hum the hum—."
"She took To kill a mockingbird." Rafe replied interrupting her
"Ahhh yes, a classic." Ward said and then took another bite of his dinner
Everyone finished their dinner and the adults went for a drink outside.
Amelia ran to Sarah's room.
"Are you fucking crazy!" She yelled closing the door
"You should have seen your face." Sarah laughed
"Oh my god we could have gotten caught." Amelia said giving big eyes to Sarah
"I saw an opportunity and I seized it. At least I had fun." Sarah smiled
"I'm gonna kill you." She said laughing. She pushed Sarah on her bed.
"No but seriously tho, what happened." Sarah asked
"Hum we kissed." She murmured
"Wait really that's it." Sarah said
"Yep that's pretty much it." Amelia replied nodding her head
"Dude you're boring." Sarah said teasingly
"Shut up." Amelia pushed her again
"Do you like him?" Sarah asked seriously
"I don't ugh I don't know." She sighed "One minute we hate each other and the other we tolerate each other."
"Maybe there's just to much tension between you guys." Sarah said "You should do something about it and the see how you feel."
"Hmmm I don't know we'll see."
