Strings of Love

Chapter Eight

Luca and Max arrived at a nice looking house. "Dare I ask what's on the other side of this door?" Luca asked. Max knocked on the door in a pattern type way and they opened. 

"Welcome home, Master Young,"Reggie, the butler said. Max smiled. "Wassup Reginald,"Max said, "This is my friend, Luca. He'll be joining me for dinner tonight. Is everything set up?" 

Reggie nodded. "Everything is as perfect as you ordered, and your special guest will arrive soon,"Reggie said. Max nodded. Luca followed Max inside the house. 

"Nice house,"Luca said. "This isn't even the beginning of the house,"Max said while opening the door and allowing Luca to see a crazy amount of money plastered everywhere in that house. 

Furniture, clothes, shoes, bathrooms, etc. "Why didn't you just tell me you were rich?" Luca asked. "That would've ruined the surprise,"Max smiled. Luca shook his head and Max intertwined their fingers. 

"The real surprise is over here,"Max said. Luca followed Max into another room. This room was more like a gaming room. Chairs, TVs, Gaming systems, etc. 

"Sit,"Max said, "I'll go get our drinks." Luca nodded and Max left. He looked around the room, when he heard the door open. "That was quick, I thought you'd be-,"Luca said while turning around and seeing Kate, "Oh, sorry, I thought you were Max." 

Kate sighed. "What are you doing here?" Kate asked. "Max invited me over to hangout,"Luca said, "You?" "Same,"Kate said. Luca heard the door close and lock, and he ran over to it. "Hey, open the door!" Luca exclaimed. 

"Not until you two make-up,"Max said from the otherside of the door, "You have two minutes." "And if not in those two minutes?" Kate asked, "Then what?" "You part ways and pretend you never met,"They heard. 

"Max, you can't do this to us!" Luca exclaimed. "Yes I can, babe,"Max said, "Have fun. You have two minutes." They heard feet retreating from the door. 

Luca turned around and Kate was smiling. "What?" Luca asked. "I knew it!" Kate exclaimed while throwing her arms around Luca's neck, "I knew it, I knew it!"

Luca laughed. "Okay, okay, let me breathe for the love of God!" Luca said. Kate let him go. "When?" Kate asked. "When what?" Luca asked. "When did you two start dating?" Kate asked. 

"Kate, we're not dating,"Luca said, "We're just bandmates." Kate's smile got even bigger. "Oh my god!" Kate yelled while smiling, "I love it!" 

"Would you calm down so I can apologize?" Luca asked. Kate calmed down and looked at Luca. "I'm sorry, alright,"Luca said, "I really am. I messed up completely and I honestly don't think you'll forgive me, but I just want you back. I want my best friend back, please. All the crazy and scary shit we used to do together is not just going down the drain like this. Please." 

"I forgive you,"Kate said. "Really?" Luca asked, "Just like that? No catch or anything? No yelling or telling me how I'm such a bad person? Nothing?"

Kate nodded. "I missed my bestie,"Kate said while walking over to him. Luca hugged her and she hugged him back. 

The door opened and Max walked in with drinks and food. "Finally,"Max said. They all sat down on the sofa, ate, drank, and talked for hours.
