BOBBY
Junno starts pulling out sexy moves and I back away laughing. "Easy there, tiger." I glance around again and I still don't see my lovely Bride. I don't see Bre either though. They must be together. I turn back to Junno. "You need to find yourself a woman to show off those moves to. You're wasting them on me."
"Yeah. There's not an abundance of single ladies here. So it looks like you're stuck with all this sexiness."
I chuckle at him and continue throwing out goofy moves. Someone bumps into me and I turn around. It's Bre. "Oh hey." I look around, still not seeing Jessa. "Where's Jessa?"
She shrugs and looks around too. "Don't know. I haven't seen her."
"That's odd. I thought she was with you."
"No. I haven't seen her since she left to get a peppermint."
"Same." For some reason, worry crawls into the pit of my stomach. "This is strange. She's been gone a long time. She wouldn't just leave our reception like this," I say.
"I agree. Do you thinks she's not feeling well?"
"Maybe but she would have said something. I'll run upstairs and check her room. Can you check the bathrooms and kitchen? Maybe she needed a snack." She didn't eat much dinner. Maybe she did get hungry.
"Ok. She's probably just feeling nauseous again. I'll meet you up front."
I take off, heading up the stairs. I don't know how long she's been gone exactly, but it's been too long. Almost an hour maybe. I head to her room, calling her name. She's not in there. I check my room, just on the off chance she'd be there but she's not. Bre probably found her. I head downstairs and see Bre standing alone.
"Really?" I say to her as panic sets in. "Where the hell is she?"
"I don't know. This is strange. I'll have the DJ announce that she's needed by the fireplace."
"Ok." I try to calm my worries. I'm probably just overlooking her in this crowd. I walk over to the fireplace and wait for her. When the song ends, the DJ's voice fills the hall. "We are requesting the bride's presence by the fireplace. The lovely bride is needed at the fireplace please."
Bre joins me and Jessa never appears. "Something's wrong," I say. My skin is crawling with anxiety.
"No. Don't go there."
"Well where the hell is she then?" She has seriously disappeared.
Lottie and Noah wander over. "What's up? I've seen you guys running around."
"We can't find Jessa."
"What? That makes no sense," Lottie says.
"I know. We've checked the bathrooms and her room. I don't get it."
Noah pats my back. "I'll grab the others and we'll find her. She's got to be somewhere. Probably got caught up in a conversation with someone."
"She wouldn't ignore the DJ calling for her though," I say as I scan the crowded room again. Noah comes back with most of the wedding party. "Jessa's missing," I say to them.
"Well that makes no sense," Hannah says. "Ok. Let's just split up and go find her. She can only have gotten so far."
"I'll ask around to see if anyone has seen her," Chelsea says.
Bre stays with me as we walk the perimeter of the room. "She's not in here," I say with frustration. Seriously, where the hell is she? I never expected to be searching for her tonight.
