BOBBY

It's been a week since our 24 hour trip to my moms. It was a fun but exhausting short trip. We left the following evening on a train back to London. My crew was able to successfully hold down the bakery while I was gone, so that made me feel a lot better about leaving them again so soon. I find myself relaxing on yet another train, this time heading to Jessa's parents.

I have my arm wrapped around Jessa as she answers messages on her social. Of course to be ornery, I go comment something sarcastic right after her. I do this only when I'm bored, but her followers always freak out. Anytime we interact together, people freak out. It's strange to me because everyone knows we're married. Why would it be so shocking that I'd comment on her picture? I guess it's one thing to know and something completely different to see proof of it.

Jessa laughs at the reaction she's getting from my comment. "They just love you. OH! I have a fabulous idea! Let's do a Baking with Bobby class together. My followers would love it!"

"That's a great idea. Just tell me when."

"Maybe right before Christmas. We can bake Christmas cookies or something."

"Sounds perfect. We need cookies to leave out for Santa anyway."

She kisses my cheek. "Santa hasn't decided if you're on the naughty or nice list yet."

"Oh yeah? Guess I'll need to seduce Mrs Claus." She giggles and goes back to her social.

I watch the landscape go by and I feel Jessa stiffen in my arm. "What's wrong, love?" She holds up her phone and shows me a missed call from a private number. We have only heard from him one other time since my moms, so I was starting to think he had bored with her. "Did he leave a message?" Jessa shakes her head no. "Next time he calls, I'm talking to him."

"I just don't want to make it a big deal."

"Well it's starting to feel like a big deal to me. He needs to leave my wife alone."

Jessa giggles. "You called me wife. Is it weird that we've been married for two and half months and my heart still flips when you call me your wife?"

I gently place my lips on hers. "Not weird at all. I get the same way."

"I guess a month of that was taken away with sadness." I rub her arm at the memory. Yeah, the first month was rough. I'm thankful we are far past that now.

We make it to the train station and find Bre and Noah waiting for us. Jessa and Bre immediately attack each other with hugs. "What are you doing here? Where are my parents? Merry Christmas, guys!" Jessa smiles as she pulls out of Bre's hug and gives Noah one.

"Eek I'm so happy to see you," Bre squeals. "I called your mom and told her we were stealing you guys for awhile. Let's grab lunch."

"Perfect," I say. "I'm starving."

We sit down at a cozy little restaurant that serves homestyle food. I dig in to my delicious roast beef. This hits the spot. A young girl, around ten, walks up to me. "Bobby. Bobby. Can I have your autograph?"

"Oh absolutely!" I say to her. She hands me a Santa notebook. I smile at it as I sign my name with a little note to her. "Are you excited for Christmas?" I ask.

"Sure am. My mom's gonna help me bake some cookies for Santa."

"Oh smart thinking. He loves cookies. Make sure to give him one with extra sprinkles. Those are his favorite."

"Oh I will. I love sprinkles too. I'm gonna be a baker just like you when I grow up."

I squint my eyes and study her. "Yes. You will be an amazing baker. I can already tell." She gives me a big excited smile. Her mom calls her away and she runs off.
