LANDON POV

It was great to see Hope was fine after all, as fine as could be. She looked restless as she waited for the evil wizard to wake up, but it was good to watch her there. I won't lie, it bothered me to see her ask another boy to sleep in her room, but Julio seemed to be nice and if it meant she would feel safer and he would take care of her, it was something I could handle. I was dead, Hope had every right to move on. She had used a spell to hide the water with vervain and I wondered why, maybe she didn't want to give any hints of the plan until he agreed to change into a vampire, it was smart, as she always was. A few more minutes and the guy started to stir and wake up. Obviously confused, it took him a while to notice her presence on the other side of the railing.

S: - What happened?

H: - Finally, you were late getting back.

S: - Back? You killed me!

H: - Yes, I did. Thereby. She raised the dagger.

S: - So how am I here?

H: - Time, come on Saul, you're smarter than that.

He looked confused, fell silent, and apparently remembered that before she killed him, she had hit him with her bloody iron bar.

S: - You turned me.

H: - Transformed.

S: - Why?

H: - I promised you a miserable end, remember? A death like that would be too good for you.

S: - Sorry to spoil your plans, Ms. Mikaelson, but I won't complete the transition.

H: - We know you will

S: - Will you force me to become a vampire?

H: - No, it will be your choice.

S: - Got it, you want me to change so you can torture me like I did you, too predictable, Ms. Mikaelson.

H: - Not really. I don't have much patience for this. You see, I'm offering you eternity, without your magic, but an eternity.

S: - And how would that make me as miserable as you want?

H: - I 'd be giving you centuries on end without your magic, without Greta, without being able to finish your plan to annihilate me. Sounds like a pretty miserable end to me.

She said all this looking into his eyes coldly. Hope had a surreal ability to cast cold looks, even though she wasn't a cold person. He looked intrigued by the proposal, but he seemed even more tempted to accept it. That guy wouldn't just give up on life, it would be too dignified for someone like him. Hope picked up the nearly empty blood bag and threw it into the cell.

H: - I'll give you 15 minutes, you decide.

S: - I know it doesn't work like that, I have at least a few hours before my deadline.

H: - The 24 hours are protocol, if you don't make up your mind within the next 15 minutes I'll go in there and kill you anyway. But this time, I guarantee I won't be quick.

It was the second time I saw fear in her eyes. The first, of course, when Hope broke loose in the barn, and now when she threatened him. Someone with such fear in their eyes would never refuse her proposal. She then sat on the floor, propped against the wall, and looked at her watch.

H: - Tic tac.

JULIO POV

P: - I can't believe you agreed to that.

J: - I not only agreed, I also helped.

P: - Son, this goes against everything that we define as right between us, among the wolves.
