Ch. 22 Does he have a death wish?

Once Vladimir leaves the cafeteria, Mal and Jane entered the room. Mal rolled her vivid green eyes in annoyance when she saw Jane walking away from her quickly to join her friends. She looked at her surroundings and grinned when she spotted her close friends at a table with Liam and the other HKs.

Mal walks up to the table, and she swiftly sits across from Jay and next to Ruby.

" Hey. Did anyone miss me?" Mal asked.

" Hey, Mal!" Jay grinned, looking happy to see Mal.

" Mal. How do you like Auradon Prep so far?" Evie kindly asked while taking a bite of her food.

" Eh. The school seems alright and a bit better than Dragon Hall," Mal mumbled while standing up a bit and leaning to the right to steal some of Carlos' food, who didn't argue since he was a bit scared of the older female.

Liam frowned when he witnessed Mal take some of Carlos' food.

" Hey, Mal. If you are hungry. There is a whole buffet near us if you want to get food," Liam motioned to the buffet near them while staring at Mal intently.

" I'm fine with what I have," Mal merely responded while eating some of the food she took from Carlos.

Jay was about to do the same thing, take food from Carlos since the younger male has so much, but William swiftly grabbed the other male's hand.

" Get your food at the buffet," William sternly speaks.

Those that know William, such as Ben, Andy, and Ruby, stare at him with mixed emotions since they rarely see him speak with that tone of voice.

" Carlos is my friend. If I want food, he is going to give it to me," Jay firmly speaks.

" A friend, you say? You act more like a bully than a friend. You are trying to take food from someone younger than you, who is scared to defend themselves. How? They know you have an advantage against them, which is having a muscular body and intimidating gaze," William sternly stared at Jay, not feeling scared of the other male's menacing presence.

Jay grabbed William by the collar, and the two males intently stared at one another.

Carlos nervously stared at Jay and William.

" Will. It is okay. He-He can take my food. I am not hungry anyway," Carlos mumbled since he didn't want an argument to happen because of him.

Liam's bright blue eyes blinked when he saw a fifteen-year-old 5'11" short-length shaggy blonde hair and blue-green eyes male wearing the standard schoolboy uniform approaching their table. He also noticed that the other male was wearing a sports varsity jacket over the school shirt, walking towards their table from another table filled with what he presumed was filled with Jocks.

" I suggest you let go of him right now!" A thunderous masculine voice sternly speaks to Jay, causing everyone to stare at him.

Ben and Andy immediately got tensed as they stared at their teammate warily since the other male is known to have quite a dangerous atmosphere when it comes to his loved ones getting attacked.

William and Jay turned their gaze to the approaching male.

" Herkie," William whispered when he saw his very furious boyfriend of a year staring at Jay with a murderous gaze.

" And what are you going to do?" Jay challenged Herkie.

" Does he have a death wish?" Andy hissed at Ben.

Carlos begins to breathe rather heavily since he can sense a high tension rise between Herkie and Jay.

Liam and Evie worriedly stared at Carlos since they noticed the younger male swaying back and forth and mumbling apologizes to himself.

Ruby opened her mouth to say something, but she stopped when she saw Herkie roughly grabbing Jay by the neck, causing the other male to let go of William.

Everyone's eyes widened in horror when they saw Herkie twirl Jay around as though he was a rag doll, and he threw the other male to the wall with so much strength and force that it caused the wall to break and turn into a hole.

" Jay!" Mal cries out, looking shocked when she sees Jay unconscious. " Hey! Asshole! How dare you hurt my friend?!" She stands up and walks towards Herkie.

Carlos paled when he saw what happened to Jay, thinking it was his fault, and he felt himself get lighter, and he started to fall to the ground.

" Carlos!" Liam shouts, grabbing William's attention, and since he was close to Carlos, the other male grabbed the younger male and held him close.

" He fainted," William confessed while staring at Carlos with a worried gaze.

" We need to take Carlos to the clinic!" Evie stared at Carlos with a scared gaze.

Herkie turned to William and Carlos, and he stared at the younger male with a worried gaze. He then looks away and stares at Mal when he hears her call him an 'Asshole.'

" If your friend did not touch William, he would not have gotten hurt," Herkie firmly speaks.

Mal furiously stared at Herkie as her vivid green eyes glowed, trying to make herself look intimidating.

Herkie's blue-green eyes narrowed as he stared down at Mal.

" Mal! Go check up on Jay!" Evie sternly called out when she saw Mal and Herkie staring at each other with a murderous gaze.

Mal looked away from Herkie as she briefly glared at Evie. She then looks away and runs towards Jay to check upon him.

" Ben. Can you take us to the nearest Clinic?" Liam asked while walking up to Ben and grabbing the other male's hand in his.

" I can take you to the school's Clinic. Merryweather will make sure Carlos is well," Ben tells Liam while squeezing the other male's hand to assure him that Carlos will be fine.

Ben looked away as he watched Herkie hold Carlos in his embrace, looking guilty for unknowingly making the younger male faint.

William softly speaks to Herkie, reassuring his boyfriend that what happened wasn't his fault.

" Let's go," Ben firmly speaks to everyone as he leaves the cafeteria with Liam.

Herkie leaves the cafeteria with Carlos in his embrace. William and Evie followed the taller male closely behind him.

Andy, Ivory, and Ruby also left the cafeteria. As they walked past Mal and Jay, Ruby briefly stared at Jay with worry before looking away and joining the others to make sure Carlos was okay.

Back at the cafeteria, Audrey stared at the scene in disappointment.

" See! Those Vks should not be trusted. That Vk challenged Herkie to a fight when we all know Herkie is the strongest of us all because of who his father and family are," Audrey firmly speaks to her close friends, Jane, Chad, and Lonnie.

" We need to keep a close eye on them to make sure that they do not taint Auradon's peace with their Wickedness," Audrey looked at her three friends.

Chad nods his head in response as he recalls watching Evie and Andy being a little too close for his comfort. He couldn't help but not trust Evie since he wasn't sure if she was trying to take advantage of his twin due to being a member of a well-known royal family.

Jane nervously nods her head in response, finding Mal a bit too frightening for her because she kept asking about her mother and her mother's wand.

Lonnie hummed, looking and feeling curious about the Vks since she noticed that Liam and Evie were worried about Carlos instead of confronting Herkie as Mal did for hurting Jay.

' I know Audrey doesn't trust them since they come from the Isle. But, it wouldn't hurt to try to befriend them to see if they are like their parents or not,' Lonnie tells herself as she looks back at her lunch and continues to eat it since lunchtime was about to end.
