Ch. 25 Thank you for showing me around

Mama Odie approached Liam, and she stood next to him, causing the taller male to stare at her shyly.

" Despite your flaws-" Mama Odie gently pokes Liam's scarred face with her staff. "-You have a good soul," She compliments.

Liam's bright blue eyes blinked, looking confused. " Thank you?" He responded.

Mama Odie pulls her staff away from Liam's scarred face, and she turns her gaze to the Enchanted Lake. " You will be good for Auradon," She mysteriously speaks.

Liam stared at Mama Odie oddly since he didn't know what to say to the blind elder.

Juju hissed at Mama Odie.

" I know. I know," Mama Odie glanced at Juju. " Let's get going! You want me to check your friend's health, right?" She asked. She begins to walk away from Liam.

" Yes! I want to know if Carlos will be okay," Liam responded. He turns and watches Mama Odie walk towards the stone stairs.

Ben approached Liam, and he stood beside him. He glanced at the taller male, remembering Mama Odie's words.

" Mama Odie is Auradon's Best Doctor," Ben speaks, causing Liam to look at him. " Carlos will be in good hands," He reassured since he could see that the other male was worried.

Liam's bright blue eyes intently stared at Ben's forest-green eyes. He hummed. He noticed the Crown Prince's eyes had a blue hue when the sunlight shined upon him.

' It's as though I am looking at Auradon's forest and the Enchanted Lake in his eyes,' Liam tells himself, finding Ben's eyes beautiful.

Liam's bright blue eyes briefly widened. He is surprised by himself that he finds Ben's eyes beautiful. He looks away from the Crown Prince and stares at the Enchanted Lake, blaming the strange Lake for his odd thoughts.

Mama Odie finished walking up the stone stairs. She heard Juju hissed and turned, seeing Liam and Ben below, standing near the Enchanted Lake. Her blank dark eyes could see Ben and Liam's aura slowly brushing against each other. However, she knew that the two teens were still unaware of their feelings for one another.

" Juju. This year is going to be interesting," Mama Odie softly speaks.

Juju hissed in response.

" YOU TWO! HURRY UP! I HAVE A PATIENT TO SEE!" Mama Odie shouts from on top of the cliff.

Liam and Ben turned to Mama Odie, and their eyes widened when they saw that the blind elder had reached the top of the cliff.

" ON OUR WAY!" Ben shouts. " Let's go," He glanced at Liam and motioned him to run towards the stone stairs.

Liam nodded. He looks away and begins to run with Ben running beside him. A few minutes later, the two teens reached the top and met with Mama Odie.

" What can you tell me about your friend?" Mama Odie asked. She walked between Liam and Ben.

Ben glanced at Liam since he knows that the other male tends to feel uncomfortable when talking about what Carlos went through.

" Carlos is a sweet kid. Very smart too. However, he gets scared easily and gets very emotional whenever he witnesses an argument unfold before him," Liam speaks.

" You see. Carlos doesn't have the best parent in the universe," Liam murmured. " His mother treats him like a servant. She shows more affection to objects than her child," He frowned. " His room back at Isle was his mother's fur closet," His bright blue eyes narrowed.

Mama Odie frowned, feeling sad to hear what Carlos had gone through at Isle.

" With you and the right people by his side, Carlos will have a much better life here at Auradon," Mama Odie speaks.
