Liam and Ben walked through the halls to head out of the school building. As they were now alone, Ben decided to speak to Liam.

" Even though I have only known Carlos for a short amount of time, he seems like a good kid," Ben turns his gaze to Liam. " Why did that debacle make him have a panic attack and faint?" He asked, looking and sounding curious.

Liam sadly stared at the ground.

" Carlos is a kind, funny, and intelligent kid. However, he didn't have a good upbringing," Liam turns his gaze to Ben.

Ben's forest-green eyes intently stared at Liam's sapphire blue eyes.

" If it is alright with you, may I know what happened to him?" Ben softly asked, looking and sounding concerned.

Liam stopped walking, and he stared at Ben with a conflicted gaze.

' I know it is not my story to tell. But, it would bring good awareness since Ben is a Crown Prince. And since he will soon become King of Auradon, being aware of what Carlos has gone through can make him realize that the Isle of the Lost children should deserve a much better life at Auradon. Since I know other children have gone through a similar situation,' Liam tells himself, and he slowly nods his head in response.

" Back at Isle of the Lost, Carlos gets poorly treated by his mother, and he sleeps in her dressing room on the floor, without touching her furs since his mother would punish him if he ever accidentally dirties her fur coats," Liam begins to speak.

Ben's forest-green eyes widened in surprise when he heard that Carlos sleeps in Cruella De Vil's fur coat closet.

" Not only that, Carlos gets forced to look after and clean his mother's fur coats. What makes me mad is knowing that his mother loves her fur coats more than him. Heck, she even refers to her car as 'her precious baby," Liam scowls when he recalls Carlos getting sad whenever Cruella De Vil showed affection to objects instead of him.

Ben frowned, feeling horrible for what Carlos had gone through.

" Growing up, Evie and I were the only people that looked out for Carlos and made sure he was okay. It broke our hearts when we saw other kids bully him at school. Whenever he wasn't in the room, she and I would make sure to scold his bullies, and the next day they stopped messing with him. You could say that Evie's potion skills and my fighting skills shut them up real quick," Liam widely grinned.

Ben's gaze softened, thinking that Liam is a kind individual for wanting to help someone in need.

" When Carlos was six, and I was seven, I gifted him a kitten for his birthday. The kitten was one of the sons of Lucifer, my friend, Anthony Tremaine's grandmother's cat. He named the kitten Beelzebub or Bee for short. You don't know how many tears of sadness and joy I had when I saw Carlos treating that kitten as though it was the most precious jewel in the whole world," Liam fondly smiled.

Tears began to fall from Liam's sapphire blue eyes when he remembered Carlos happily smiling while hugging Beelzebub in his arms in their youth.

Ben gently wipes Liam's tears away with his thumb when he sees the other male cry.

Liam blushes, looking and feeling embarrassed that he is crying in front of Ben.

" I am so sorry," Liam mumbled.

" No need to apologize," Ben softly smiled.

" You know I am surprised that Carlos didn't bring Bee with him," Ben whispered as they continued to walk.

" His mother wouldn't allow him to bring Bee to Auradon, so he had my friend, Anthony, care and watch over Bee for him," Liam explained.

Ben nods his head in response as he opens the school's back door, and he lets Liam step out first before following him out and closing the door behind him.
