Ch. 35 Where is the meeting going to be held?

Ben watched his mother leave the garden. He turned his gaze and stared at Liam. His forest-green eyes were saddened when he saw the blood on the other male's hands.

" Let me get the first-aid kit. I don't want your hands to get infected," Ben says.

Liam looked at the Castle warily.

" Do I have to go back in?" He asked, sounding scared. He didn't want to be in the same place as King Beast since the older male had almost killed him.

Ben bit his inner cheek. He could see that Liam looked scared to be in his house because of what his father had almost done to him.

" I can get the first-aid kit. I'll be back, I assure you," He smiled at Liam.

" Okay. I'll stay here admiring the flowers," Liam points to the flowers.

Ben nodded.

He turns around and walks away, causing Liam to be alone in the garden.

Liam looks down at the red rose in his bloody hands. He puts the flower close to his nose and smells it.

Ben enters the Castle and is about to turn into a hallway but stops to look back at Liam. His forest-green eyes intently stare at Liam, watching the sunlight shine upon him as he smells the rose. His eyes saw the blood dripping from his hands onto the stone ground.

' Mine,' Ben's Inner Beast growls.

Ben continues to stare at Liam.

" Would he accept us?" He asked himself.

He shakes his head and continues to walk to get the first-aid kit for Liam. Several minutes later, he returns to the garden with the first-aid kit. He looked forward and saw Liam sitting on a bench with his head leaning against the stone wall.

" Hey, I'm back. And I got the first-aid kit," Ben approached Liam.

Liam sets the rose on his lap and watches Ben sit beside him with the first-aid kit on his lap.

Ben takes out the disinfected wipes and cleans the blood off of Liam's hand.

" That burns," Liam hisses.

" Well. That lets me know the disinfected wipes are doing their job," Ben looks at Liam.

Liam looks at Ben.

" I am sorry for what my Father tried to do to you," Ben apologized.

" No need to be sorry. You weren't the one who tried to kill me. Your Old Man has to find the courage and apologize to me himself," Liam says, watching Ben use a steel pincher to take the thorns out of his hand.

" Damn. Didn't realize I had so many thorns in my hand," Liam mutters.

" You need to be careful," Ben scolded, bandaging Liam's hand.

" Yes, Your Highness," Liam smirked.

Ben looks at Liam and blushes.

He opened his mouth to say something but stopped when he heard a commotion inside the Castle. He and Liam looked and saw Queen Belle enter the garden with guards following behind her.

" Mom? Everything alright?" Ben asked as he stood, shielding Liam from the guards' eyesight, his Inner Beast still feeling protective of Liam.

Liam looks at Queen Belle and the guards curiously.

" I am hosting an emergency Royal Meeting with all the neighboring Queens of the Auradon Kingdom. I wanted to know if Liam would like to be in this meeting," Queen Belle looks at Ben and then at Liam.

" Me? You want me in this meeting with all the royal Queens?" Liam asked, looking at Queen Belle in disbelief.

" It would be best if all the Queens knew what occurs in the Isle of the Lost from the actual source," Queen Belle says.

" That's if he is comfortable talking to them, Mother. It would be best if you didn't force him to do something he doesn't want," Ben firmly says.

Liam looked at Queen Belle with mixed emotions.

" Would Queen Cinderella be there?" He asked.

Queen Belle nodded.

" Then I'll go. Queen Cinderella has to know what happened to her sister, nephew, and niece," Liam says as he stands.

" I'll go as well," Ben says to Liam and Queen Belle. He wants to be there to support Liam emotionally.

" Where is the meeting going to be held?" Liam asked, looking curious.

" At the Auradon Cathedral," Queen Belle responded.

" Fairy Godmother is going to meet us there," She says. Then she turns and walks out of the garden with Ben and Liam by her side, and the guards follow them.

" What did you and Dad end up talking about?" Ben asked, looking at Queen Belle worryingly.

" After chatting with Liam, I asked your father if he came up with the idea of Isle of the Lost. It turned out that Cogsworth gave your father that idea," Queen Belle frowned.

Ben's eyebrows rose, and his eyes widened when he learned that Cogsworth was the reason Isle of the Lost existed.

" Where is he?" He asked, looking upset.

" He's with Lumiere and Chip," Queen Belle responded.

Ben contemplated whether or not to accompany Lumiere and Chip to deal with Cogsworth. But his Inner Beast didn't want Liam to be alone, especially since he nearly got killed before his eyes.

" Why would Cogworth suggest King Beast to create the Isle of the Lost?" Liam asked, looking furious.

" His words, Your Majesty. I suggested the creation of Isle of the Lost to my Liege. All we wanted is for you and everyone that lives in Auradon to be at peace," Queen Belle recounted.

Liam scoffed.

" Excuse my language, Your Majesty. But, Everyone, my ass! That man is nothing but a selfish prick! He didn't care about the innocent spouses, siblings, and children of the Lesser and Higher Villains," He shakes his head.

" That is why all the Queens should know what happened fifteen years ago," Queen Belle gently grabs Liam's bandaged hand and squeezes it.

Liam nodded.

Ben looked at Queen Belle and Liam with a warm smile. He was glad the two were getting along well. He frowned, still upset that his father nearly killed Liam. His hands tightened into fists, determined to become a much better King than his father.
