That afternoon
            6:16 P.M.
(Continuation of chapter 12)

"Sis, are you sure you want to do this?"

Cherish and all of her brothers were in her living room, discussing the plan she created within ten minutes. She was still sitting in Happy Hill's parking lot when she called them up and told them to come down to her house asap.

"Yes, I'm sure. I'm worried about her and you know I only feel like this when something is really wrong."

There were four of them: Travis, Tamarus, Tabarus, and Tabious. Tamarus is the one speaking, and he's the oldest.

He tries to mask his unsure look but Cherish catches on. She squints at him.

"Aren't you the one that told all of us to trust our gut?"

He scratches his head and the other brothers chime in.

         "Yeah."

        "Yeah, he did."

"Yeah, can't back you up on this one, bro. I didn't even know what a gut was until you said something about it."

"Alright, alright." He sighs. "I just..." Cherish raises her eyebrows. "What if you're wrong?"

"Wrong? When have I ever been wrong?"

It went silent. There wasn't a time. "Okay, never. But, Cherish. You're trying to sneak around an orphanage."

       "Okay?"

"We've never had gut instincts that required us to do things like that! It's been little things like knowing when someone is lying, or that time Travis was being chased by that dog. Your gut instinct is onto something bigger than any of that and what you're trying to do is risky. The law would have to intervene if you get caught."

"And I'll have my reasons for why I'm sneaking around!" Cherish folds her arms. "If I get caught it would actually help me in my favor."

Tamarus's face deadpans. "Really, sis? How?"

"They'll figure out what the head of Happy Hill is doing."

        "And what is she doing?"

"Keeping Xamani tied up in a room!" It goes silent and Cherish freezes. She wasn't thinking when the words came out of her mouth. They just did.

"Wait, wait, wait," Tamarus begins. "Are you just yelling things out now or did you actually see that because if you did, why didn't you mention this earlier?"

Cherish touches her lips, looking at nothing in particular. "I didn't see that earlier...it just came out of my mouth."

        "Okay, yeah, we're done here-"

She snaps out of her daze. "What?! No! You can't just do that."

"I'm not about to let you go roaming around private property! What will you tell the police if they find you?"

"I'll tell them that I was worried about someone in there and that I needed to make sure that they were okay."

He shakes his head. "That's not a valid reason."
