Shadow Step: chapter 7 Mistake
-Moka-
Well I guess it was a little better now that Ruki knew about the baby, but that didn’t make things any easier. I mean with all the rules and the mood swings. It was no walks on the park let me tell you. I’m only a month a long I still have another 8 months to deal with this and then the real trial begins.
-Ruki-
Well it was really had for me to adjust so quickly to finding out I’m going to be a father. I’m so glad nothing happened between me and Moka when we were in highschool. With my messed up life and things the last thing I needed was a baby, but I guess I have no choice in the matter now.
“Moka, with you be all right? While I’m gone?”
“Yeah.” She says walking down the stairs. I pull her close and give her a kiss.
“I love you, be careful ok?”
“Ok. I will.” She says smiling.
I grab my things and head out the door. I drive off to the studio and go to my typing. It had been about two weeks since I found out about Moka. I sat there and I hear someone walk up behind me. I look and it’s Uruha.
“Hey Ruki?”
“Yeah?”
“I never said sorry about us for ruining you and Moka’s baby.”
“It’s fine Uruha. I’ve forgotten about”
“I really didn’t mean for yo to find out like that.”
“like I sad it’s no big deal.”
“Thank, Ruki.”

“No problem.” I say. I go back to my computer and continue checking audio. Nothing of great impotence went on that day. Once I go back to my house I saw I saw that Moka was fast asleep on the couch. I covered her up with a blanket and kisses her forehead. She looked so cute. Sometimes I forget he’s carrying my child…

The next day I find myself doing nothing again, but getting up and leaving Moka. It made me sick. I didn’t want to leave her home alone in her condition. She’s freaked out enough as it is. Soon though I headed back to the house and I fond she wasn’t there. I looked everywhere and I didn’t see her. I ended up calling her and thank god she picked up.
“Moka where are you? You have me worried sick!”
“I’m just out with Lish and Akuma.”
“I just wish that you would tell me where you are going once and a while.”
“Sorry”
Well I’m home now so don’t be out too late ok?”
“Ok, love you.”
“Love you too.” And the conversation ends. As soon as I does I hear a knock on the door. I open it and find Reita standing there.
“Hey glad I caught you when you were home.” He says.
“Yeah.” I say.
“Moka’s not here is she?”
“No she’s out. Why?”
“Because, I need you ask you something.”
“Ask away.”
“Were you planning on marring Moka?” Until he asks right now the thought never even crossed my mind. I’m sure he could see my stunned expression.
“I don’t really know…”
“Well I was just curious since you guys were having a baby and all.”
“I guess I’d have to think about it.”
“Yeah.”
“So do I get to be that baby’s uncle?” I crack a smile at that.”
“Sure.”
“Yes! Then you guys have to have a boy.”
“Why a boy?”
“Because I want a nephew.”
“Haha, if only it were that easy.”
“When is she going to get home?”
“Soon. I hope.” We sat there and talked for a little while longer and soon I saw Moka Strom in the room with tears in her eyes. She went right up stairs and didn’t even acknowledge that we were here.
“Moka?” I say getting up ad walking after her. I hear Reita follow behind me. She tries to slam the door to my room, but I catch it and follow her in.
“Moka.”
“Go away.” She says.
“Just tell me what’s wrong?”
“I can’t.”
“Why not? You can tell me anything.” She continues crying. I sit down next to her and slowly put my arms around her.
“Is this about the baby?” This almost made her seem to cry more.
“Moka it’s gonna be fine. I’ll be here ane I’ll help you though everything. I’m not going anywhere and everyone will understand.”
“You don’t get it Taka…” she says though her sobs.
“Get what?” she keeps crying.
“It’s gonna be fine sweetheart.”
“Taka, just stop it…”
“Stop what?”
“Your useless talking.” My expression changes.
“Why?” she looks me right in the eyes with her bloodshot ones and says clearly,
“Because there isn’t going to be a baby…”
