"she wants to meet me?" Lizzie said confused, probably wondering why this stranger wanted to meet her
"yeah, you don't have to go though. i know last night was pretty hard" you tried to say, trying hard to make her comfortable
"oh i'll go, i think i need some fresh air" lizzie chuckled nervously
you quickly texted Aria back and confirmed plans with the three of you, let's hope Lizzie can handle her. you then showed Lizzie to the bathroom so she was able to get ready for your little outing, you went into your room and got ready as well
you both kept it casual in band t-shirts and jeans, something you wore a lot of. the drive to the little Café by your house was short but sweet, the two of you shared light conversation and it was nice to see her smile again
as you got out of the car you heard a loud yell behind you, Lizzie jumped but quickly relaxed when the person engulfed you in a tight bear hug.
"y/n, i haven't seen you in forever dude!" Aria laughed as she finally let go of you, letting you breath for once
"i know Ari i'm sorry! i've been busy" you laughed back at her energy while trying to catch your breath
"busy doing a whole lotta nothing" Aria joked, earning a giggle from Lizzie and an "ouch" from you
"hey, i do stu-" you tried to defend but Aria didn't hear you or.. at least chose not to and decided to strike up a conversation with Lizzie
"so you must be Elizabeth, it's nice to finally meet you after all this time. This one has been keeping you hidden from me for far too long, isn't that right y/n?" she rambled on, as lizzie just walked with her and nodded while shooting you a smile every now and then
"well actually i've been the one making y/n hide, you know.. life of a celebrity" Lizzie joked, like that was the reason you two had been so secretive this entire time
"now i would just love to hear about that, and if you tell me about your glamorous life.. i'll tell you embarrassing Y/n stories" Aria said trying to strike up a deal
"hey hey hey, absolutely not. this is why i wanted to keep her a secret, Aria!"you groaned as Aria stuck out their hand
"deal" Lizzie shook it, laughing at you from across the little Café table
you sat and listened with a smile as Lizzie rambled on about life in the public eye and then watched in horror as your best friend spilled all your most embarrassing stories and secrets to your secret crush
"and then y/n slipped in front of the whole school, landed in a puddle and had wet clothes for the whole field trip! everyone called them-" she laughed as she told it but it had to come to the end before Lizzie never talked to you again
"okay that's enough! let's not tell her everything, alright A?" you glared
"ugh fine, but you're boring" She rolled her eyes at you and stuck her tongue out like a toddler making you stop glaring and laugh
"what?! no, come on it was just getting good!" lizzie complained but you just shook your head making her also roll her eyes at you
"sorry but you'll just have to wait to hear what my whole middle school called me for the rest of the year" you shrugged, obviously teasing
"hm, i guess i will. i'll get it out of you tonight" she winked and then laughed
"w-what?" you stumbled over your words, flustered at this obvious display of flirting
"hey y/n, can i speak with your for a second?" Aria jumped in
"oh yeah sure" you gulped as you got out of your chair and waved to lizzie
you and your best friend walked into the bathroom and you immediately let out a big sigh, Aria laughed
"bro what's her deal? i thought she was married?" Aria asked after closing the door
"she is married, but she doesn't like me don't worry" you quickly said back
"yeah.. hate to break it to you but-" Aria tried to say but was cut off by the bathroom door swinging open, which showed a very out of breath and panicked lizzie
"can we go, y/n? please?" she breathed out
"yeah of course, come on" you replied as you wrapped an arm around her, as you rounded the corner you saw a couple paparazzi outside the café
as soon as they saw Lizzie they started snapping pictures again, Aria threw her jacket over both of your heads and led you out to your car. paparazzi following everywhere, you all jumped in and you quickly sped away
"woah that was intense!" Aria said loudly as we finally stopped seeing them chasing the car
"it always is, i hate it so much" lizzie replied as she slumped down in the passenger seat
"i'm really sorry we left you, we had to talk about something" you said guiltily
"what was it?" lizzie asked, sitting up straight
"oh nothing important! don't worry Liz" you laughed awkwardly, Aria looking between the two of you
lizzie just nodded slowly and looked out the window, she was still a bit shaken up
"do you guys want to get out of here?" Aria asked randomly half way through the car ride
"what? like out of the car?" you asked amused
"no, like out of the state" She replied again, full seriousness in her voice
"oh no, no absolutely not. this is not the time for one of your spontaneous trips and you are definitely not dragging us into it" you laughed annoyingly
"what do they mean? you go on trips a lot?" Lizzie replied to Aria, the curiosity in her voice making you nervous
"oh yeah! my family has a great beach house and i like holidays" she shrugged in return
"i think it's the perfect time to go on a holiday, don't you think Y/n?" Lizzie said to you while biting her lip and smiling
"y-yeah, i mean no!" you tried to say but got your words mixed up because you were staring at her lips
"it's settled, you said yes first!" Aria laughed, lizzie shrugged when you shot her a glare
it was hard enough keeping your cool at your house with Lizzie but now you were going on a impromptu holiday with her? you're going to need all the self control in the world
