you looked back at lizzie, she was giving you one of her genuine smiles, it tugged at your heart strings
"you would do that for me?" you sounded surprised but in reality you knew lizzie would always do something like that, even if it wasn't you
"that's what friends are for" lizzie replied simply
"yeah, i suppose you're right" you said back, she just hummed in response. "are you going to send the twins to her apartment as well?" you asked jokingly, lizzie's eyes widened
"oh my god, i still can't believe i agreed to that i'm so sorry" lizzie buried her face in her hands, you reached out to take them away but you retracted as you had just agreed to stay friends
"made it more interesting" you said when she looked back at you, lizzie just cleared her throat
you wondered if you had said something wrong again
"so Aria, what happened?" lizzie innocently pried
you began to explain, every sentence earning a new expression from lizzie. the whole explanation was littered with "uhms" and "uhs" but you eventually got to the end
"so you didn't leave the notebook there?" Lizzies first question was, "i thought you did"
"no i didn't, it was Aria. i'm glad she left it for you though" you said shyly, realising Lizzie read your deepest thoughts
after you answered the questions you both began to brainstorm how to get her to forgive you, you knew Aria would forgive you regardless but talking to Lizzie like old times was too good to pass up
by the time the sun was well down you had finally both agreed to a plan, it was simple but was definitely going to work
"your car or mine?"you asked when you locked your front door behind you
"i walked here" Lizzie shrugged
"you walked here?"
"i had my reasons" lizzie replied, "so your car"
you smiled at this "fair enough" so you both got into your car, the inside already warmer than outside
on the way to Arias you noticed Lizzie's goosebumps, seeing this you turned on the heater. lizzie immediately sighed with delight, made you feel accomplished
pulling up to Arias apartment building you looked up, seeing her apartments lights still on. you got out of the car and both lizzie and you headed towards the buzzer
bzzt bzzt
"hello?" you heard Aria on the other side
"it's Y/n, buzz me in please"
"Y/n you have some nerve showing up right now.." Aria began to say, "apologies aren't that simple"
"i brought your favourite season of friends on DVD and Hershey kisses"
